Harry's POV

Harry opened his eyes and looked up at Tom, noticing that he didn't look the same as he had earlier. His irises were now a deep, almost black, red with a sliver of bright red around the inside. Harry could see that Tom's skin had taken on a greyish color and his teeth were slightly sharper. Feeling brave, the raven haired boy reached up a hand and placed it on the older's cheek. Tom closed his eyes and leaned into the small hand while a purring sound started at the back of his throat. Harry marveled as he could feel the vibrations through his hand.

Why did Harry feel so safe? Here with Lord Voldermort, the same man who had tried to kill him on several occasions. A sudden hand on Harry's forehead made him jump a bit. His eyes fluttered open, not realizing he had closed them. Tom's fingers were making soothing strokes on his forehead, right in between his eyes. Their eyes met again and Harry saw Tom's eyes were back to normal.

"What was that?" Harry asked.

Tom smiled at Harry, "That was my demon." Harry gave him a confused look. Tom laughed which sent vibrations through the teen who was still on Tom's lap. "I went through my inheritance when I was seventeen and I'm a part demon from my mothers side. I think that's what happened to you, but it's early. We won't know what you are until you take an inheritance test, and only the goblins at the bank can do those. So we have to go into Gringotts, they can also tell you of any lordships and heirships you may have."

Harry looked up at the person who had caught him as he came out of the floo. For a second time in just a couple hours, Harry found himself in the Dark Lord's arms. After the brown haired man had insisted Harry call him Tom, he had gone on to say that he would explain everything after they visited the goblins. Once Snape had returned to the room, he made quick work of helping Harry glamor himself as well as dress as it was still a bit painful for Harry to move around. Tom had stepped out of the room when Snape entered, now rejoining them as they entered the floo.

All the goblins paused and looked at their small group, having sensed a submissive entering the building. It wasn't hard for them either to sense the pain he was in. Both groups froze, each unsure of what to do. A movement from the corner drew the wizards' attention. Griphook was hurrying over to them after seeing who was there.

"Follow me," he told the trio quietly.

Tom took the lead after the goblin, Harry quickly following him and Snape bringing up the rear of the group.

Harry watched each goblin as they passed, almost seeming to bow to him before returning to their tasks. Before Harry could ponder too much on it, they passed through a door and started on a long hallway. The teen began to count the doors as they passed them before turning left. He theorized he counted about thirty before they reached their location. Griphook quickly ushered them into his office once they reached the end of the hall and motioned for them to sit in the chairs on one side of the desk.
