Harry POV

Harry's eyes slowly fluttered open as he woke up. He briefly wondered what had happened before he remembered falling asleep with Tom after they had finished talking. A smile broke out over his face when he saw the red eyed man was still next to him. That was when the ache from his wings kicked in. They had certainly not liked his sleeping position. Thinking about his wings made Harry pause for a moment. His mind ran over his life until the current point. He had been abused in horrid ways both from those that outright hated him and those slowly poisoning him from the inside out. And now he was safe and completely aware of the truth. He was fully safe here with his mate who loved him and hopefully soon his family.

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Harry slipped from under his mate's arms and out of bed. He stretched his arms out to get some life in them and his wings followed suit. Silent as an owl, Harry slipped into the adjoining bathroom and closed the door. He quickly did his business in the loo and turned the shower on. The water instantly heating to the perfect temperature. Even this small bit of magic made Harry smile. He pulled off the pants he had been wearing and turned his attention to his shirt. After almost ten minutes of struggling, Harry couldn't figure out how to get the shirt off and was starting to tear up. Suddenly, soft yet strong hands were helping him. Harry peaked up to see Severus behind him.

"Sorry," he whispered to the professor. "I just wanted a shower but I couldn't figure out how to get the shirt off with my wings."

Severus stared at the teen for a moment. "You know you might be able to retract your wings. It could take a while to get, but it may be possible. Comes with age and practice."

Harry thought over Severus' words a moment before closing his eyes and scrunching his nose in concentration. Slowly, Harry could feel the weight of his wings changing. When he opened his eyes and looked in the mirror, all that remained on his back was a tattoo in the same shape and shades that his wings were. Scars from the abuse were still easily visible but those would always be there, they may fade but they would never disappear. Harry also noticed that some of the scales that had been on his wings had fallen to the floor.

The boy smiled up at the potions master upon realizing he had figured it out on the first try. Severus returned the smile and guestered for the teen to shower before leaving the room. Harry was quick to remove the remainder of his clothing and slip into the shower. The hot water felt amazing on his tense muscles, it made easy work of soothing him. After thirty minutes, Harry was clean and happy. He had played with the soap for a bit before finding the one that smelled like Tom. The small submissive followed his instincts and used more than he probably should have to smell like his mate.

As he left the shower, he noticed a set of clean, casual robes on the counter. He admired their soft green and black color. Harry picked them up and could tell the fabric was high quality even if they were just casual robes. He quickly dressed, foregoing trying to tame his hair, and left for the bedroom. His mind began to panic when he realized no one was there, his thoughts immediately going to Tom leaving him. Severus had walked in with a slight smile on his face but quickly lost it when he saw the hyperventilating teen. He rushed to Harry and gathered him in his arms.

"Breathe Harry, it's alright. Tom's not gone, just downstairs for breakfast. It'll be okay," Severus quietly whispered to the boy.

After a few deep breaths, Harry was a bit calmer. He stepped back from the professor's hold and blushed a bit.

"Sorry professor," Harry quietly said to him.

The potions master gave a small laugh and started to lead Harry out of the room. Harry was utterly fascinated with the style of the manor. The walls were a deep royal blue, pictures from the wizarding world hung every couple of feet. The wood floor had a deep green carpet running down its center. Harry looked at each photo as they passed by and smiled, most would nod back with a smile though a couple waved back at him. There was the one or two that cooed at him, making the small teen blush slightly. They soon came to a grand staircase and started down. Severus led Harry to the left and through an open archway.

Harry followed into the room and froze at the sight of so many people. He looked around the room at everyone, locking eyes with Tom once again. Tom was quick to motion Harry to come sit by him. Slowly, like a frightened animal, Harry crept around the edge of the carpet to avoid everyone on his way to where Tom was. The others in the room held small conversations so it would seem as though they were not focused on the small teen. Bellatrix was seated to the right of Tom with her husband on her other side, his twin across from him. When Harry reached Tom, instead of taking the empty chair to his life, the small teen climbed into his mate's lap. He was quick to cuddle into the man's robes. There was a momentary pause in conversations before they started up again. Moments later, Harry could feel Tom's hand running through his hair as the man talked to Bella. The teen leaned into the touch as a low rumbling started to come from his chest. Harry jumped slightly at the sound and looked to Tom for an answer, completely missing the fact everyone in the room was ready to jump to his defense.

"It's okay. It is a normal reaction for you. Just like a cat would purr, your submissive dragon is letting me know you are happy and content," Tom explained in his baritone voice.

Harry smiled at the explanation and snuggled back into his robes. Tom resumed petting his head while talking. The raven haired teen felt content enough to doze a bit on Tom while basking in his smell and presence. But it only lasted for a minute before a house elf popped in.

"Lord Black and his husband is here in the greeting room. Would you like me to leads them here?" The house elf announced.

"Don't worry little kitten. I'm right here. Everything will be fine," Tom soothed when Harry looked up at him with wide, fearful eyes at the news.

The elf bowed and was gone with a pop. Harry started to tremble a bit in Tom's lap as they waited.

Severus slid a bottle towards the mates. "It's a calming drought. Harry needs to drink it, it will help with the anxiety."

Tom was quick to pop the top off and offer it to Harry. He gave the boy a nod when he looked up at him in question. He downed the potion, nearly gagging at the taste. Bells giggled slightly at the face Harry made and the boy looked up at her. She didn't look crazy at all, maybe just a bit sad in her eyes. Harry didn't have much time to think about it before two people walked into the room.

Harry turned and met Remus' eyes. He froze for a moment before the werewolf let out a whimper. That sound changed everything. Harry was instantly in Remus' arms, crying. Mother and son sank to the floor, crying and holding onto one another. Sirius knelt down and joined the sobbing pair.

"Hi," Harry whispered with a trembling voice, pulling back slightly to meet his mother's eyes again.

Remus gave him a watery smile. "Hi baby."

Sirius let out a sob after Harry greeted him in the same manner and wrapped his arms around the two of them. "I will never leave you again, my son."

This statement made Harry cry even more. He felt the love it held and he felt as if he was home.
