Hermione POV
I was shocked. Harry wasn't Harry Potter but Remus and Sirius' child. Their child who had been stolen from them and manipulated over and over. By people he thought he could trust, and I could say anything about it. Dumbledore told me that he would kill my parents if I had even thought about telling anyone, let alone tell Harry. He would dose me daily with loyalty potions and what not, and I could never fight them off. I still have side effects from the first time he used the Cruciatus curse, it also didn't help that he would use it constantly on me.
I snapped out of my own thoughts when I heard what Lupin had just said. Cub. My baby. Help her. I froze, everything stopping and fixated on that one thing. My baby. Lupin's baby.
I started hyperventilating. I wasn't sure what was happening, I was breathing too fast and that thought just kept looping in my head. My eyes were blurry and I could feel myself shaking.
"...Granger! Mrs. Granger! Hermione! I need you to breathe. Deep breaths. In and out. That's right, keep going. In and out."
My eyes came back into focus and saw Professor Snape kneeling in front of me talking to me.
"Just like that. Good job. Here take this, it will help." Snape said, handing me a potion.
I took it and drank it numbly. Warmth flooded my body and I let out a small sigh, relaxing a little. I looked over at the other two men in the room. Sirius had Remus in his arms while the wolf cried. Sirius' eyes met mine and he let out a long breath.
"We need to go back to Gringotts and figure this out." Sirius said, still holding Remus. Not looking at me again he said to Snape, "Will you take her? Remus and I will meet you there."
Snape only nodded before there was a sharp crack and the couple was gone.
The potions professor stood and held a hand out to me. "Come on. Let's go find out who you really are."
I stood and took his hand. Instantly I felt as though I was being squeezed out of the small end of a piping bag then it was over and my feet were back on solid ground. I let out a groan and held my stomach but managed to keep any food down. Snape stood to the side and waited for me. I straightened up and felt butterflies again. Remus and Sirius were waiting for us by the door of Gringotts.
Quickly they turned and led us inside. Walking up to a counter, Sirius whispered something to the goblin teller before he called another goblin to come lead us away. I said nothing and just watched as the short creature brought us to an office. In single file the four of us went into the office. The potions professor nodded towards one of the chairs while he stayed standing near the door. Lupin took one of the chairs with Sirius behind him. I sat and looked at the goblin.
He met Remus' eyes and asked, "We are in need of another inheritance test, a magical and a creature one, correct?"
I watched as Remus could only nod before grabbing onto the hand resting on his shoulder, not looking at me. Did they not want me? Anxiety flooded my body as I watched the goblin prepare for my tests.
The goblin pulled out two bottles of ink, two bottles of potions, two quills and two pieces of parchment.
Setting a paper in front of me, the goblin asked kindly "Could you please add 4 drops of your own blood to this potion?"
