Harry POV

Harry watched as Tom looked back, checking on him one last time before disappearing through the door with Snape. Griphook nodded at the four goblins in the room before leaving the room himself. Once the door was closed, the goblins started to chant. At first in what sounded like gobbledygook, then in a language that felt much older.

Harry started to feel a heat flood over his body. As it came on, the heat quickly became a burning fire, consuming Harry from the inside out. He let out a small whimper at the pain, but nothing more. There was a bright flash of light before Harry promptly passed out again.

Goblin POV

The goblins looked at one another, stunned at what had happened. Normally the person starts to scream when things begin, but this young wizard had barely made a sound. Even as the light from the cleansing ritual came over him. As the light faded away, it revealed the young man laying on the floor. One of the advanced goblins walked forward to where Harry was lying on the floor. He quickly checked for a pulse before one of the other goblins went to let the others back in the room.The goblin that was still checking Harry after the ritual noticed many scars across his body, most of which looked inflicted by others. This made the healer goblin furious. Someone had not only abused a child, but a submissive. They would pay dearly for touching the child. Lord Riddle rushed into the room and stood close to the goblin and unconscious boy. Said goblin smiled to himself, he understood at that moment the dark lord would protect the boy. He nodded once to the main before he turned to talk with Griphook.
