Gene POV

"Hey did you ask them where they're going?" Eric asked abruptly, turning to me.

I feigned surprise.

"Oh damn I forgot about that. Damn, well I guess we'll just have to explore London on our own," I said, ruffling his hair.

Of course he just scowled, crossing his arms in a huff.

"I don't like what he's doing," he grumbled.

I played innocent, giving him a confused look.

"What do you mean? What who's doing?" I asked.

"Bruce. I don't like how close he's trying to get with my sister. I keep finding him with his arm around her shoulders and stuff," he said, eyes narrowing.

"Oh I wouldn't take it like that! Bruce is just a really nice guy, he's just trying to make Y/N feel welcome. He wants to make her feel comfortable with the band and show her around the city, there's nothing wrong with that," I said smoothly.

"I guess. But still. I don't want any of you three dating her. Especially not you."

I chuckled, shaking my head.

"Eric, I already have a girlfriend and I'm having a son in January. I'm not going to date your sister. I'm not going to do anything to your sister."

"Yeah you better not," he said, getting into the cab.

I did my best to keep him distracted as we wandered around the city. There was a brief moment where I caught sight of Bruce and Y/N rounding the corner and quickly dragged Eric into a shop for lunch, hoping desperately he hadn't seen them.

To my relief, he had begun to cheer up noticeably as the day went on, having fun going around London with me. After dinner we headed back to the hotel. He drew to a halt in the lobby, giving me a look.

"I'm gonna go upstairs and see if Y/N is back. If you see her could you tell her I want to talk to her?" he asked.

"Of course. I'll just hang out in the lobby for an hour or so before heading up to my room in case they're not already back. But honestly Eric don't worry about it! Bruce is a great guy, he's not going to do anything," I said soothingly.

He let out a sigh, mouth pressed into a thin line.

"Yeah he better not. I get she's old enough to take care of herself but she's still my baby sister, I don't want her getting hurt. She's not used to this kind of life."

"I know, I know, but she's with Bruce, who's one of the nicest people I know. Now go ahead back to your room, you need to make sure your legs are rested enough to drum well tomorrow," I said, ruffling his hair.

He gave me a smile.

"Thanks Gene. Today was fun."

"It was! We'll have to do it again on our next day off," I said.

He walked off to the elevators with a parting wave while I took a seat and waited. Bruce and Y/N didn't walk into the lobby until almost ten, both beaming with cheeks flushed pink. Barely biting back a smirk, I walked over to them.

"There you are! Y/N your brother wants to see you to see how you enjoyed London. Bruce you wanna grab drinks at the bar?" I asked, putting an arm around his shoulders and steering him to the bar before he could protested.

I walked into the hotel bar with Bruce, ordering a soda while he ordered a cocktail. We sat at the counter, chatting casually before I took a sip of my soda and gave him a smirk.

"So! What're you gonna do when Eric figures out you've got a thing for his kid sister?" I asked.

He choked on his drink, coughing for a minute before looking at me.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he said.

"Mm Bruce, Bruce, Bruce. I'm kind of surprised, if I'm being honest! Hadn't pegged you as the guy to go behind his best friend's back and deliberately ignore his request to stay away from his sister," I mused, taking another sip of my soda.

His face went bright red as he stared intently at the glass in his hand.

"I don't know what you mean," he said, but I just chuckled.

"Uh huh. It's not hard to see. You haven't taken your eyes off her since she first boarded the plane, and you were quite eager to take her out to explore the city alone. You're welcome for that, by the way. Date go well?" I asked.

A fond smile spread across his face.

"Yeah. Thank you. It was really nice, I um...you know we like toured the city and had dinner in the park and then we kinda like kissed and admitted we loved each other and kinda...agreed to date," he said sheepishly.

"Mm, bold move. What're you gonna do about him? He's been very adamant that we all keep our hands off Y/N and we don't date her. Hell, he's told me I'm not even allowed to think about her like that."

Bruce cringed.

"I dunno. Do you think he'll be mad if he finds out?" he asked.

I shrugged, taking a long sip of my soda.

"Not the slightest clue. Honestly, probably not, at least not for long. He might be irritated at first but you are his best friend and he does love you. I'm sure he'll be a lot happier his sister is with you as opposed to, say, me. As long as you don't do anything to break Y/N's heart I'd say you're golden."

"I've got no intention of breaking her heart! I love her, I really do, she's absolutely wonderful."

"That's good. Make sure you don't get her pregnant, because Eric will--"

"Absolutely murder me, believe me I am well aware of that fact. I have also known Y/N for two days Gene, relax. We've barely exchanged like two kisses, today was the first day we even held hands."

"Just be careful," I said, hoping that when Eric inevitably found out he'd see how happy they were and let them be.
