Cloudy Skies

Chapter 5

As I got up to have another shower and get ready for school again. I get a text from Zane again.

Zane: Be ready for school I'm coming to pick you up.

Me: Okay. but how do you know where I live.

Zane: Oh well I saw your furstagram account and saw where you live.

Me: Lol, ok I'll be ready soon.

I put my phone down and got up to find some pants and a shirt, after I got all I needed out of my closet and turned on the shower, waiting for it to heat up. I hoped in and started washing my fur and after a while, I started thing of Zane and him driving me to school. I hear my mum shouting from downstairs that breakfast was ready. I finish up washing my fur and got out of the shower and started drying myself off with a towel. after drying off and becoming a fluff ball. I got my clothes on and started to get my bag and shoes on as well and walk downstairs. I sat down and started to eat the toast on the bench and mum said, "well I'm off to work, make sure to get to school on time." "Yesss mum, I'll make sure to get to school on time," I say while rolling my eyes. After I eat and mum leaves, I go back upstairs and pack some more gym clothes and some for the afternoon with Toxic and Jake.

I hear a loud honk from outside and get up thinking mum forgot something. I rush downstairs bag on my back and open the door and step out a little only to be met by a face full of fur and clothes. I look up and met by Zane staring at me then start laughing. I blush and back away a little and he says, "c'mon let's hurry up and get to school on time." I groan at him playfully and we get in I hop in the passenger side and we drive off to school. on our way there we were talking about our old schools and lives that's when he asked "why don't you talk much if you don't mind me asking" he says but in an unsure tone "I used to be popular, but I was bullied when I came out as gay and I quickly lost all my friends. That's when a guy named mason started bullying me and he physically and mentally scarred me badly" I say with a shaky voice close to tearing up and start sobbing. He then pulled up to the school parking lot and suddenly put his hand over the side of my cheek and rose my chin, so our eyes met and said "I won't let anyone hurt you... if you don't mine me protecting you" he said with a bit of a shy tone when he was talking. I immediately hugged him and blushed a little and quietly said "thank you, at least I have a few good friends at this school already" he hugged me back. we got out of the car and walked to school him having his hand on my back, reassuring me that he'll protect me. I blush a little bit and put my face down a little bit so he can't see it and we arrive at the gate.

we head over to our lockers and put our bags in and grab out our books and other things we needed for classes today. after we got our stuff out, we headed to class and took the same seats we had sat in the other day. after class had started and we had sat down, we started taking notes from the board. The class went by in a breeze and we headed out for first lunch, we sat down at a table and Toxic and Jake sat down next to us chatting with each other than talking to us "how are you two I'm surprised you didn't fall asleep in class again Zane" she lets out a little laugh and Zane just glares at her and laughs a little and says "well at least I wasn't on my phone for half the class" she stares at him in shock mouth agape and just glaring at him, they both just burst out in laughter and me and Jake join in. after we calm down jakes friends come and sit down with us and we all start eating while Zane and his friends are talking about sports and Toxic, Jack and I are talking as well about what we were doing this afternoon.

after talking for a while, the bell rings and we all get up and head off to our separate classes and I go to Math, this time not staring off at nothing and doing my work. after Math, I met up with Jake and we headed off to English together, talking about the new games that had come out on the "Furstation V". we reached class and sat down at a pair of desks and started to listen to the teacher talk about algebra and other hard math subjects. after completing the problems and writing down all the notes on the board we pack up and go our sperate ways to our different classes.

Zane and I meet up and start going to the cooking class, where we were making the cake base for decorating tomorrow. we started to mix the ingredients Zane nearly covering himself in flower and me nearly spilling the bowl over, but we somehow managed to finish mixing and put it into the cake pan to cook in an oven. the whole time talking about the movie we were gonna watch or learning what our favourite colours were or whatnot. the bell rang again, and we headed out to the cafeteria and ate with Zane and his friends again but sadly no Toxic or Jake. after talking about classes and other things we decided to head to gym class. on the way, we were talking about what the coach might make us do today. when we got to the locker room we quickly stripped and got into our gym uniforms and started to head out to the track to meet up with the coach.
