Cloudy Skies

Chapter 8

I sat there on the couch watching tv when Zane came up with a wet cloth and some medicine and told me to sit up and take it, I did as he said and sat up only for him to sit where my head was then he gave me the medicine and I drank some water and laid back down on his lap and he was patting my head down with the damp cloth to try and bring my temperature down a bit. After a while I started to fall asleep in his lap while watching tv, he got up and gave me a blanket and a cushion and told me to get some rest while he went to the shops to get some food. I laid there thinking of him before drifting off to sleep. I woke up at around 3 pm yawning and looking around for Zane, I look at my phone and see a text from Zane from over an hour ago.

Zane: I'll be home later just stopping by at my house to get some more clothes and supplies.

I got up and went and had a shower and got some new clothes on so that I wasn't in my briefs from when Zane got back from his house. I checked my phone again and got a text from Toxic.

Toxic: you ok Rad, you weren't at school today and Zane wasn't either. did you do it last night? lol.

Me: yea I'm okay and Zane and I didn't do it, I'm sick so he stayed home today to look after me.

Toxic: okay then and hope you get better so we can see you at school again.

Me: okay bye I got to go for now and Zane's looking after me, so I'll be more than fine lol.

Toxic: okay then cya lol.

I put my phone down and looked out the window and saw Zane's car pulling up, I rushed over to the door to unlock it and help him get his stuff inside. I helped him get some of his clothes inside, they smelt just like him. I sat back down on the couch after we got everything out of the car and into the house. he sat down next to me and I laid my head up against his shoulder blushing and just barely able to keep my eyes open. I woke up again with my shirt off and a wet towel being wiped over my back and my chest on Zane's lap. I tried to get up but was too weak and tired, "oh your awake, I was just wiping you down your temperature isn't going down, so I was trying to help you," he said suspiciously but I brushed it off. I managed to sit up and he handed me a drink of water and some more medicine. I took the medicine and drank the glass of water before going upstairs to the bathroom. when I came back downstairs, I saw Zane had fallen asleep, I took out my phone to take a picture and realised it was 10 pm. I took a quick photo of him sleeping peacefully. I walked over and shook him awake gently and took his hand to follow me upstairs, I was too tired to put him onto the bed on the floor and we both fell asleep on my bed.

I had another bad dream that night but instead of being beaten up by mason and his friends, Zane came in and scared them away and held me tight to his chest before kissing me deeply and rubbing his hand along my back. I woke up again early in the morning wishing I didn't have to leave the good dream I was having when I noticed Zane was rolling about in his sleep, looks like he was having a nightmare like I did, but it didn't look like it was getting any better. I pulled his arm around me and snuggled into his chest before he pulled me in closer and started to calm down and relax. after a while, I relaxed as well and fell asleep in his arms.

I woke up to him yawning with a deep morning voice which sounded sexy, he looked down at me still thinking I was asleep and kissed me on my forehead and held me tighter to his chest but not enough to hurt me. I started to yawn as if I was waking up and he panicked and pushed me away gently. I looked up at him and sneezed and said morning while rubbing my eyes. he just looked at me then snapped out of it and said morning while covering his face with his hands acting like he was rubbing his eyes, I laughed a little and then got up to use the bathroom connected with my room. I get some fresh clothes not realizing they were his and had a shower to warm up a bit. after getting out of the shower I dried off and put on his clothes by accident, smiled and walked out. As soon as he saw me in his oversized clothes, he let out a small laugh and got up to have a shower as well. I went downstairs and made some breakfast whilst he was still in the shower. after cooking some eggs, I walked upstairs to knock on the shower door and tell him I had made breakfast when I heard him singing something to himself in the shower, I let out a small but quiet laugh and went downstairs and waited for him on the couch. after a while, I heard the shower turn off and him getting out, I then got up and waited for him in the kitchen with the plates of eggs and toast. he came downstairs after getting dressed and sat at the kitchen island and started to eat the food I had just cooked. after eating he said thank you and we went and sat down on the couch and watched tv.
