Cloudy Skies

Chapter 11

As I was walking to the Cafeteria, I tripped a bit and stumbled into something, I look up and see a brown turkey chatting with an arctic fox, they stop to look down at me as I fall backwards. The fox looks at me with his head cocked to the side and the turkey mumbles something under his breath and offer his hand for me to get up, I accept, and he pulls me up and I dust myself off. "sorry about that I tripped on something" I say quietly with my tail behind my legs and rubbing my arms. "hey, it's alright, are you ok? oh and I'm Skipper, but you can call me Skip. What's your name" he says offering to shake his paw, I shook it and he smiled with a toothy grin on his face. "I'm Rad and sorry again for interrupting you two, oh and I didn't get your name?" I said as I looked at the turkey. "oh, just call me Turk." I nod and see Zane waving over to me. "well, I have to go, but I'll see you two later I hope." I say and wave to them as I runoff towards Zane at the table with Toxic, Jake and his other friends.

I get my food and sit down at the table; Zane does the same and Toxic and Jake are already eating their food. "so, who were those two you were talking too?" Toxic asked, "Oh that's Skipper and Turk, there from my math class." Jake quickly cut in. "Oh well that's cool I guess," she said and got back to eating her egg sandwich. I started to eat my food as well and Zane was talking to his friends. that's when Jake kicked my foot under the table and looked at me "psst here." he whispered so the others wouldn't hear. I looked at his paw under the table and took the note that he was holding. I opened it up and started to read it "can you help me with my homework" I looked at him and nodded and stuffed the note into my pocket and finished eating my food.

The bell went off not long after I finished my food and I went to get my books out of my locker for my math class, I got my stuff and we all headed to our classes. I sat down and started to copy the stuff I had missed from the other day and do the questions we had today. after I had finished copying the notes and writing the questions, I started to finish off my homework for the week. I got about halfway done when the bell went off and I had to get ready for English. I got up and packed my stuff back into my bag and went to my locker. I put my stuff in the locker and get out my English stuff and shut my locker. I see Jake and I wave for him and we walk into English together, talking about the fireworks and how I fell in. we sat down and started writing down the things on the board. I was busy doing my work when Jake nudged me with his pencil, "Hey, what are you doing on Saturday?" he whispered. "I'm going to watch a movie with Zane at the theatres. why?" I whispered back "oh I was just wondering, cause Toxic and I are gonna go to the beach and she asked me to ask if you wanted to come." he said and started to finish writing the things on the board. "oh, well hope you two have fun," I said and did the same. After a while, I finished writing everything from the days I was gone and the questions from today. I started to help Jake with his homework before the bell went off. I managed to teach him an easy way to do some math questions. "thanks" he said, and we got up to go to our separate classes. "no problem" I said, and I walked off to my locker.

I walked up beside Zane who was putting his books into his locker and did the same. "oh hey, how was English." he said as I was putting my books into my locker. "good, I helped Jake with some problems." I said while getting the things I needed for cooking. "well let's hurry up, I wanna decorate our cake." he said as he closed his locker, I did the same and we started to head off down the hallway to cooking class.

We walked over to our table and sit down, the cake already set out with icing ingredients and decorating supplies already spread out. the teacher walked in and apologized for not being there the other day and started to write the steps for making the icing on the board. as he did that I and Zane were talking and adding the ingredients to the bowl. I started mixing but ended up spilling some icing on my clothes, we started giggling a bit when he scooped up some icing on my pants and tasted it. I blushed and just bury my head in my arms on the desk when the teacher came over and asked. "what are you two doing?" "We were uhh tasting the icing," Zane said and offered a bit to the teacher, which he declined and walked over to another table. Zane just looked at me and laughed a bit and started to mix the ingredients again. we finished making the icing and started to coat the cake in dark blue icing with a light blue border around the sides, after that we put some blueberries on a corner and light blue flowers made out of icing in the opposite corner. we then traced out 2 different sized paw prints in the middle and filled them in with the rest of the blue icing and finished the cake. the teacher came over and wrote down some things in his book and tasted the cake. he smiled at us and said we would get the score back tomorrow. we packed up our stuff and head back to the lockers.
