You woke up in a cell, not your concrete and dark one though. This one was light and made of glass. Giving you a 360° view of around you.
You laid on the ground on your back. You used your forearms to push yourself up slightly. You groaned at the pain emitting from your neck.
Your elbows supporting you from behind, you lifted your neck as slowly as you could careful not to cause more damage. It took you a couple of blinks until you got used to the brightness.
Once you managed to open you eyes, you looked to your left, where civil looking Captain America and Winter Soldier stood, staring down at you through the thick glass.
You laughed. Laying down once more in the ground. You weren't at HYDRA. You got yourself caught by the people you were supposed to eliminate. You cursed yourself mentally. Pierce was going to kill you when he finds out you let them see your face, fail your mission AND got caught in the process.
"What's so funny?" Steve Rogers asked, his brows creased.
"Keeping me here won't get Pierces attention, if that's what your after," you told them, laying in the floor eyes closed.
"Good things that's not what we're after then?" Tony said, strutting into the room, cup of coffee in hand, sipping it. "You caused quite a lot of damage, (y/n),"
Your head shot up, sitting up straight, the pain in your neck long forgotten. "Don't call me (y/n)," you growled, your jaw tensed, teeth gritted together.
"What's your name then?" Tony smirked knowing you wouldn't be able to give him an answer.
"Not (y/n), I've had 3 different names in the last week. Fuck knows what my name is," you said harshly. You stood up in one swift movement and walked to one side of the cell, putting your back against the glass. "I'm dead anyway if he finds out you saw my face," you mumbled more to yourself.
"Listen (y/n)," Tony sighed. "Why did they send you here in the first place?"
"Why do you think, shell head?" You snickered.
"Okay let me rephrase that. Who were you here for?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at you.
"You," you pointed towards Tony, "Winter," you pointed at Bucky, "and America," you pointed at Steve. "Dunno why," you shrugged leaning back in the glass wall fully.
"Since when were you allowed to tell us that?" Bucky asked taking a step forward.
"I told you, I'm dead when he finds out you've seen my face. It's either you kill me now, or they do it sooner of later," creasing your eyebrows. Something about his voice is familiar. It made you feel calmer than you wanted it to. "What's your name?" You asked him now leaning off the wall, more focused on his face. Once again his eyes reminded you of something, a memory you couldn't quite reach deep down in your head.
"Bucky. You called me James most of the time though, why?"
"I knew you?" You said leaning forwards, elbows on your knees, trying to look deeper into his eyes for some kind of answers. It came out somewhat like a statement.
"You did," he nodded. A flash of hope covered his face.
You scoffed and shook your head. Putting your head in your hands and closing your eyes.

A couple of days later they brought the witch with them. She told you that if you let her into your head she could see if she could bring your memories back faster. She was sweet, it surprised how gentle she spoke to you.
