A/N; oh god this is ugly wtf.. re-write 2024.

Tommy fought in three fights and he felt like he was going to drop dead. His nose is busted and he might have a black eye. Phil, his dad, sat next to him in the principal's office. "Alright, no, no. I understand a lot - I'm just saying it was not my son's fault." Phil stated, staring at Tommy, who was playing with his fingers. "I understand too, Mr Watson. But in our school terms, fighting must be dealt with seriously."

Mr Thompson was always a big prick, an old one at that. He knew how to talk to people, but he didn't know how to talk to kids. "I'm going to give you two weeks of suspension for fighting. And for such a big fight, I'm surprised that I'm even giving you this much of a break." He then looked at Phil. "In my opinion, this fight was your son's fault. You should have been doing something about his anger." He then looked back at Tommy. "I know that this is a small punishment, but it's the biggest thing I can give you." Tommy shook his head. He knew that this was a way bigger punishment than just a regular suspension. He looked at his dad, and he could tell that his dad was kind of pissed.

Phil gritted his teeth and held his son's arm tightly. "His anger is my fault? It's none of my business in what he's doing at school, mate." Phil pulled Tommy up with him, "Listen, I do not give two shits in what my son is doing, as long as he gets to be taught, then it's not my problem. Tommy, let's go."

When Tommy got out of the office, he saw Phil had a smile.

Tommy looked at his dad a little bit confused. "What's wrong, dad? I did get suspended." He said and he then looked down to his feet. He was pretty pissed off. He didn't know what he was getting suspended for because he didn't start the fight. His friend, Purpled, started it. And it was his fault that he didn't break it up.

He knew that Purpled would be mad at him and he knew he would probably not speak to him after this. He was already mad at himself. Phil just stared at his son. "You don't get it, do you?" He said back. "No, I don't?" He asked, a little bit frustrated by his dad's tone. "Tommy, you can't keep getting suspended," The older said with a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose, "I get that it wasn't your fault - and you can tell me about it at home. I do not want a word from you the whole car journey back. Your nose is fucking bleeding and they wouldn't let me get a nurse." Tommy sniffed and rubbed his eyes, biting the inside of his cheek, he nodded. He did not want to start crying.

"Alright... I understand." He mumbled and looked behind him, which Purpled was standing by the side of the door - smiling. He wasn't mad at Purpled, even if he did start it, Purpled was his friend and the fight was something stupid.

Tommy looked back at his dad and he smiled. "I'm not mad at you for being mad at me, dad," Tommy said, he was smiling. "I know," Phil said in a tone where Tommy's smile dropped instantly," you wouldn't be," Phil said and he looked down at his son. "Now - let's go."

Phil and Tommy got into the car and Phil drove out of the school parking lot. He was looking forward on the road and Tommy was looking down at his lap. "Dad." Tommy said, Phil looked down at his son, "Is this what I meant by not talking?" The blond sighed and looked Outside, the air smells of wet concrete and oil as if it was raining - it was not even close.

The outside of the school smells like rain. And the lights - they glow in the windows.

Tommy looked down, he was tearing up a bit more. But he didn't want to cry in front of his dad. He almost got into a fight with some boy named, Punz, who was Purpled's brother - but the teacher stopped it in time. Punz was a fucking annoying guy, he was one of the popular kids, another reason Purpled worshipped him. He was a vile, hot-headed son of a bitch and Tommy wanted to stab him.
