"I'm sorry," Bruce said backing away "we need you," I said sitting down on the rickety bed of Bruce's little hut in India.
I removed the scarf I had around my head in respect and to hide my identity. I scanned the room quickly, something I was used to doing out of habit every time I entered a room.
I gave Bruce puppy dog eyes saying "please" pleadingly. Our friendship was stable enough for me to act this way and it seemed to have worked.
"Stand down," I said pressing into the comms and I gave an apologetic look to Bruce as he scowled at me unaware of the team I had brought.
