the weekend soon went by quickly, soon it was the beginning of a new week. for the past few weeks, Kimberly had been keeping herself with the project at hand, that is the partnership between her and the Railings, this was her very first project and she wanted it to be a very successful one in honor of her mother, because that was what her mother always wanted.

"Mr. Rashford, to what do I owe this pleasant surprise?"

"well well miss Bridge, i was around and decided to come pay you a visit, hope I'm welcome?" Dylan asked

"sure Mr. Rashford" Dylan said before existing her office followed by Miguel

"this game of yours is going to back fire Miguel" Dylan said immediately he got to Miguel's office

"is that the reason you came all the way here?" Miguel asked dodging the question

"I actually need your help with my old man"

"what is it this time?"

"he wants me to run the company all by myself for three months and you know I'm so gonna ruin it if I do so"

"you don't want me begging you, do you?"

"maybe I do, but no worries, I'll put you through, Kendra would send your bills to you"

"Miguel" Kendall said entering her brother's office

"Dylan" Miguel called giving his friend a death glare 

"DY, I missed you" Kendall said going to hug Dylan

"what are you doing here Kendall?" he asked angrily this time

"what?" both Miguel and Dylan said at the same time

"and you didn't bother to inform me before hand?"

"you know father and surprises"

"where's he now?" Miguel asked standing up from his chair

"he's with Kimberly, he wanted to meet your partner and woman you are bringing for the ball"

"Dylan remind me to skin her alive" Miguel said before leaving his office

"dad" Miguel called as soon as he entered inside 

'oh son, I heard you were busy with that rascal of yours" Thomas said

"he came over for some business"

"its okay, I was just getting to know this young woman here and Kendall told me she's coming with you to the ball"

"yes sir"

"then I'll be expecting both of you"

"Mr. Railings" Dylan called as soon as he entered the office

"the rascal decided to say hello" Thomas said smiling at him

Thomas was very fond of Dylan, Dylan was like a son to him, but he wasn't in support of the reckless life he was living, he would be forever grateful to him, for standing by Miguel in his toughest time, but he wanted him to change and be responsible.

"my dad sent his regards" Dylan said shaking him, he was quite used to those name calling now, so that wasn't something that could get him angry anymore.

"tell him, I'll come see him soonest"

"no problem sir, I have to be on my way now" Dylan said

"and I'm going with him" Kendall chipped in

"make sure you're back before ten" Thomas said as they left.

after Dylan and Kendall left, Thomas, Miguel and Kimberly spent most of the time discussing about business, how the project was faring and the expected end result.

"I'm sorry about my dad " Miguel apologized after Thomas had left

"there's nothing to apologize about, fathers are usually like"

"and my sister, she's a little bit forward"

"its okay, I understand, families are like that

"so why not go out for dinner after work" Miguel asked
