28 - "Then do it"
I had been waiting so long for this to happen, for him to ask me out and he finally did. He had come over in school and asked me...
When I closed my locker shut, he was standing right there. Right beside me leaning against the lockers with is arms crossed over his chest, smiling shyly at me. I looked at him with wide eyes, surprised that he would even talk to me. "Uh, can I help you?" I had asked, my voice shaky and stuttering.
"Actually, I wanted to ask you something?" He said, his voice low and husky. I couldn't help but see the small amount of shyness in his eyes. It didn't make sense, he has never been a shy guy.
My eyes blinked a few times, nodding slowly. "What's up?"
"Uh, I was thinking if... If maybe you'd want to go, you know, on a date with me sometime?" I was blown away. Justin Bieber, the schools charmer, was asking me out. Me, shy Y/N who had had a crush on him in forever... I was shocked, my eyes wide. He was probably thinking I didn't want too but hell, did I want to. I had been waiting for this for so long and finally it happened.
"If you don't want to, I totally understand," he said and tipped on the heel of his shoes. He was so nervous when it should be me who was nervous. He didn't have any reason to be nervous at all, but it was awfully cute though.
"No, no," I said, my hands hugging my books tightly, "I'd love to go on a date with you."
His eyes lightened up immediately, a smile spreading across his lips, "really? I mean, uh, great. Saturday at 2?"
"Yeah," I said softly, my fingers tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. A small smile was playing upon my lips, I was so surprised by his question, "yeah, sounds good."
"Great, I'll see you Saturday," he smiled and leaved a kiss on my cheek before heading down the hallway to his next class. I felt my cheeks heat up, he could always make blush - one glance and I'd look like a damn tomato in my face.
... My mind was running over scenarios that could happen today on our date. It still hadn't occurred to me that I was going on a date with one of the most popular guys at school. I've talked to him a few times and I'd never thought he'd go or with someone like me, I mean, I'm always in the front of class, always making my homework and really shy. Justin was one of schools football players, very cocky and someone all girls wanted to have a ride with if you know what I mean.
It wasn't until the doorbell ran that I got up from my bed. I was dressed in a casual attire, not too dressy or too sleazy, it was perfect for a date between two high-school students. My casual outfit was a pair of jeans, a sweater since the weather was getting pretty chilly, my favorite combat boots and a jacket. My hair was curled and covered with a beanie, my makeup were pretty much nothing; natural and almost unnoticeable.
"Honey, Justin's here!" My mom called. I was quick to et downstairs so my mom wouldn't embarrass me more than necessary. When I reached downstairs, my mom was talking about some time when I was little. My eyes widened in fright for her to say something I'd like Justin didn't know about.
"Alright mom, I'll see you later," I said and wrapped a scarf loosely around my neck.
"It was nice to meet you Justin!" My mom said cheerily and waved before heading back into the kitchen. I looked up to see Justin smirking playfully at me.
"Your mom seems nice," he said and grinned.
"Yeah..." I mumbled and stepped out of the house, closing the door behind me. "She can be quite embarrassing sometimes."
"Can't all moms?" He chuckled. I smiled at him and walked beside him towards his car. Being a gentleman, he opened the door for me and closed it again once I was settled. He got in the drivers seat and drove to the park where we walked around.
A few hours later, Justin had intertwined our hands and made jokes like we had talked since forever. We had gotten hotdogs at a hotdog-stand, eaten them while laughing our asses off because the sausage fell out of his and smiled at each other like it was just re two of us in the whole park. He was so nice and gentle, always asking me if I was alright and making sure I was happy with the things we did. I would be happy with watching him play Xbox just as long as he was there with me.
We had walked around the park for a while when Justin stopped walking, still holding my hand. I looked at him with a confused expression. "You alright?"
He sighed and nodded, pulling me closer to him. I felt my cheeks turn a bright red as his arms wrapped around my waist, keeping me close to his chest. "I'm feeling just perfect," he said softly, a smile on his face.
I smiled up at him, my mind running a marathon. He didn't seem alright but if he said so then I believed him though I really wanted to know what bothered him. "You can tell me if something's bothering you," I told him as I looked up at him, my expression concerned.
"Y/N..." His voice was almost a whisper, his eyes shifting between mine. He seemed nervous again just like the other day when he asked me out. "I really, really like you."
I was caught off guard by his words, I didn't expect him say anything like that at all. I gulped down a pit of saliva while keeping my eyes locked with his though his was focusing on something else on my face, I didn't know what. "I like you too," I managed to say.
He smiled, "you have no idea how happy that makes me." Oh, I think I do. "I'm really happy we did this today and I hope you've enjoyed it as much as me."
I nodded, "I have. It's been lovely." He smiled and leaned down, resting his forehead on mine. Was he about to kiss me? Oh, boy - I wanted to kiss him so badly but I was afraid he wouldn't like that.
"I really want to kiss you," he muttered, his lips ghosting over mine. He was so close yet so far away. Just one quick move and his lips would be pressed to mine.
"Then do it," I whispered and closed my eyes, enjoying having him this close. Without another word, he pressed his lips against mine in a soft kiss. My hands grabbed the sides of his sweater as his hands were placed on my cheeks, his thumbs rubbing across my skin slowly and softly. Smiling, I cocked my head to the side to deepen the kiss just a bit. His lips were so soft and plump, I could kiss them all day but that wasn't the plan when he pulled away, his forehead still against mine as his eyes remained closed.
That was probably the best kiss I've ever had.
