6 - Blurred vision // PART 1

My phone startles me as I try to put on the last details of the cake I baked for Justin. It's his birthday and he's been at the studio all day so I thought I'd surprise him once he got home.
I dry my hands and grab my phone, bringing it to my ear. "Hello?"

"Good evening ma'am. Is this Y/N?" A deep voice asks.

Why the heck would a strange man call me at this time, see that's just plain weird.

"Uh, yeah why?" I ask, furrowing my brows together in one line.

"I'm police officer James, your boyfriend has been involved in a car accident," the man, James something says on the other line.

"H-how? Is he okay?" I start to panic. I feel my hands starting to shake and my heart is beating faster than usual. I don't know what I'd do if Justin died, I can't even think about it.

"He's at the hospital but he's in critical state," the police officer tells me, "he's allowed to have visitors but he's going into surgery in one hour."

"Okay, uh, I'll go there right now. Thank you officer," I say and hang up.

In my rush, I don't even bother to wear a jacket. I just need to get there as fast as possible. I sit into my car and back out of the driveway before speeding down the road and onto the highway.

It wasn't until I stopped at a red light, I felt tears on my cheeks. "Oh my god."

Once the red light turns green, I step on the speeder and drive towards the hospital. I park the car in front of the hospital entrance and run inside, not bothering to come with an explanation to the parking guard.

I run up to the desk, my breathing fast. "I need to see my boyfriend, he's been in a car accident." I rush out the words as I look at the reception woman.

"Name?" She asks calmly.

Are you freaking kidding me?

"Justin Bieber, he just got here for an hour ago or something like that!" I almost yell at the lady, hell I'm getting impatient here.

"Mr. Bieber is in room 267, 14th floor." She says. I thank her and run to the elevator, pressing the button repeatedly. Once the elevator arrives, I step inside and press onto the 14th floor. I rush out of the elevator as it stops at the floor Justin's on and run down the hallway towards room 267.

I stop as soon as I find the door. I sink down a pit of saliva and open the door carefully, trying to not make a sound. I close the door behind me and turn around. A sight I never thought I'd see are in front of me.

There is my baby, my love and my hero. Bruised and hurt like he's been beaten on repeat for hours. A gasp leaves my mouth as I take in Justin's state. The police officer was right, it's critical. Tears flowed down my cheeks as I walk closer to the white bed.

I sit down and grab his hand, lifting it to my lips and giving it a longing kiss. A tear falling into his cold skin. His hands are so cold, like ice. His skin is pale and his beautiful face has bruises everywhere. Not once did I think, I'd see my protector and hero, bruised and in pain.

As I cry silently into his hand, the door opens. I quickly sit up straight and look behind me to see a doctor. "You must be the girlfriend. I'm Dr. Jason," the doctor says with that serious face every doctor has, reaching out a hand for me to shake.

"Nice to meet you," I say, sniffling and then letting go of his hand. "So how is he?"

I turn my head to look at the beautiful human on the bed with tubes into his nose and under his skin. Just this sight will make me break down very, very soon.

"Mr. Bieber is going to surgery tonight as soon as possible and then I'll have the information ready for you after. For now, he's not going to answer, talk or eat," Dr. Jason says.

I nod and think through if there's more unanswered questions. "Why does he need a surgery?"

"The car that drove into Mr. Bieber's car came from the right and hit the side your boyfriend was sitting in. He has a bruise on the inside of his stomach that needs to be operated," the doctor tells me.

"Oh," is all I can get out.

"I'll leave the two of you alone until surgery," Dr. Jason says, giving me a sympathetic smile before leaving the room.

I turn around to sit down again by Justin's side. I grab his hand gently, giving it a kiss more before I decide to talk to him even though he probably can't hear it.

"Hi baby..." I smile through the tears that threaten to fall in a few seconds, "your going to surgery as soon as possible and I'll be right here when you get back from that. No matter what happens, I'm right here. I love you," I say and lean over pecking his cheek before sitting back, still keeping Justin's hand in mine. Poor, poor baby..
