9 - Congratulations
My hands ran over the tiny bump on my stomach. It's truly unbelievable, it really is. I'm carrying a life inside of me and I don't think I've realized it yet. It all feels so surreal.
"Babe?"
Turning my head to the voice, I see Justin in the doorway of our bedroom. I send him a light smile and turn back to the mirror.
"You okay?" His voice is soft, warm against my skin as he stands behind me and hugs me. I love his hugs, they're make me feel safe and loved.
"Mhm," I mumble as I stare at our reflection. Justin's arms around me tightens as his lips press against the back of my head. "It's just weird, you know? It's weird to think that I carry life inside of me."
""I know. It's also weird to think I'm gonna be a father," Justin says chuckling.
I smile as I intertwine our fingers, our wedding rings touching each other. "But at the same time, it isn't. We're married so it's natural."
Justin nods and hugs me, squeezing a bit before letting me go.
"C'mon," Justin says, nodding his head towards the door, "they're downstairs."
Justin's need to touch me and keeping me close to him, came to show when he grabbed my hand and guided me out and down the stairs.
He's been more touchy and careful with me since I told him the news about me being pregnant. He took the news well, well kinda. He froze and zoned out for a few seconds before grinning like an idiot. It's was amazing to watch.
Justin lets go of my and places his hand on the small of my back. Alfredo and his girlfriend Em, Chaz and Ryan with their girlfriends too, Chelsea and Ashley, was in the kitchen sipping on a glass of white wine when the their eyes darted to us. We had invited them to dinner, just to get together.
"There you are!" Ashley send me a smiles, "you look beautiful," she says and hugs me. I smile and thank her.
I greet them all with a hug, thanking them for their compliments and the bouquet of tulips, Chaz and his girlfriend brought.
We all sat down, starting to fill our plates when the newly opened bottle of wine went around the table.
"Y/N?" Ryan asks, referring to my empty wine glass.
"Oh, no thanks," I say and give him a light smile.
"What? You always have a glass," Chelsea says as she furrows her eyebrows.
"I'm just not in the mood tonight," I say and shrug. Justin's hand rests on top of mine, locking our fingers.
"Wait a minute!" Ashley grins.
I look at her confused, her eyes going around the table before settling on Justin and I.
"It's not because you're not in the mood," she smirks.
"Babe, what are you talking about?" Ryan mumbles.
"If you guys haven't noticed, Justin's being way more touchy than he usually is. Y/N's dress isn't a tight sitting one as she always wear and she doesn't drink!" Ashley explains, "it's obvious guys, c'mon."
I look at Justin nervously. Justin shrugs and pecks my cheek.
"Oh, oh, oh!" Em says, jumping a bit in her seat, "Y/N's pregnant!"
As the words leaves Em's mouth, I feel my cheeks flush.
"You're pregnant?" Alfredo asks, shocked.
"You can say that," I mumble, hesitantly.
"Congratulations!" Chelsea quickly says, standing up to give me a tight hug.
The others follow Chelsea's actions and soon we're eating and talking about the pregnancy and how the girls want to throw me a baby shower. Under the whole dinner, I have a feeling that someone's staring at me.
I turn my head to look at Justin, only to find him already looking at me. I smile softly at him, running my hand through his already half messy hair. He smiles at me before grabbing my chin between his pointer finger and thumb, bringing my lips to his. I smile and kiss him back, enjoying his lips on mine.
"I love you," he whispers.
"I love you too."
