10 - Past and Present

His hand is secured around my waist, keeping me tight to his side the entire time. My eyes settles on his mouth, his smiling mouth. His happiness and smile was radiating off him, he was genuinely happy and that makes me happy. As he always seems to do, he catches me staring and smile brightly at me. I smile back and give him a quick peck to his cheek.

"Hey guys! Congratulations on the wedding," a voice says from behind us. The voice belonged to the biggest bitch on this planet. No, no.. In the entire universe.

We both turn around, Justin's arms wrapping around her waist as he hugs her. I stand back, looking at the two of them.

"Thank you," Justin says, nodding.

"And Y/N, you look absolutely stunning," Danielle says before squeezing my shoulder. I send her a smile back, a fake smile.

You see... Danielle is Justins ex from when we were in highschool and she's a bitch. Literally.

Justin's decides to start a conversation with her, much to my dismay. Turning on the heel of my stilettos, I walk out of the room and away from the reception. I didn't know she was invited, why would you invite your ex to your wedding? Is he dumb?

"Y/N?"

His voice was soft, the confusing tone evident. He sits down beside me on the curb outside, eyes following my gaze. We were looking at the sunset, the pink, yellow and purple colors were beautiful and just my favorites. He sighed and looked at me with a crease between his brows.

"Why are you out here?" He asks.

I shrug and pick at the small details of my wedding dress which is probably very dirty now from sitting on the curb. "I just don't understand."

"What is it?" Justin asks, his tie getting loosen up by his hand.

"Why she is invited. I don't get it Justin, she's your ex," I feel myself tearing up.

"I know but her boyfriend is here too, you know."

I look up at him to see him still looking at the sunset. I shake my head and wipe under my eyes, stopping the mascara from possibly running.

"I still think it's weird. I didn't invite my exes and I'm pretty sure this is our wedding so I don't get it. I don't get why I didn't at least know she was invited," I mumble.

"I know baby and I'm sorry," he says, "but now I think we should go in there and show them who's the most awesome couple."

I smile and look up at him. "We are, aren't we?"

He chuckles and pulls me towards him, kissing the top of my head. "We are and I love you very much."

"I love you too."
