The next morning I woke up early, before the other girls. I quickly got dressed and snuck out of the dorm, grabbing a book, down to the common room. I plopped down on one of the couches and opened the book. I had just finished the first chapter when I heard footsteps coming from the boys' staircase. I turned to see Neville, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"Good morning." I chirped, excited for my first full day at Hogwarts.

"Morning." He grumbled, sitting next to me.

We sat in a comfortable silence until two more people came stomping down the stairs. Dean and Seamus stalked over, standing in front of us.

"Come on, I want breakfast," Seamus demanded, pulling me up off of the couch.

I laughed at the Irish boy and stood up. I then turned to Neville, who was still sitting on the couch.

"You heard him," I said smiling.

Neville laughed and stood up and the four of us walked out of the room and to the Great Hall. We talked and laughed the whole way there, not caring about the looks that were shot our way. We sat down and quickly ate our breakfast. When we were done, Mcgonagall handed us our schedules, sending a reassuring smile my way.

"Hand 'em over," I said holding out my hand.

The three boys handed me their schedules so that I could compare them.

"We all have the same classes. We better get going, though, or we may be late for DADA." I said, standing up and shoving the schedules in my black leather backpack.

The boys grumbled but followed my lead before we headed to our first class.

Let's just say, that was a good start to what was going to be a long, hard, first day of school.
