Impossible (A Neville Longbottom Love Story) (On Hiatus)

Chapter 47

   I found Neville staring out a window.

"Hey, love." I said, wrapping my arms around him. He hugged my back tightly.

"Are you alright, Neville?" Harry asked as he, Ron, and Hermione walked by us.

"Y-yeah." Neville said shakily.

   The three left as Mad-eye walked up.

"Can I speak with you, Mr. Longbottom?" He asked. 

   Neville looked down at me for a moment before nodding.

"Go ahead to class." He said, letting go of me to follow the Professor. I shook my head at him before going to my next class.

   Neville joined me in third period, now in a much better mood. The rest of our classes went well until we finally got to go to lunch. We were once again joined by the three annoying french kids. Just kidding, I love them to death. 

"See, he gave me this." Neville said, handing me the book that Mad-eye had given him.

"That's kinda weird." I said, taking the book and flipping through the pages.

"What do you mean?" Bella asked.

"Let's talk about it later, when we're not surrounded by a bunch of natural eaves-droppers. How about once school is out for the day, we can all go down to the lake." I offered.

"I can agree to that, all of these people are nosy." Amelia said, glancing at a boy down the table who was staring at her.

"You're telling us. The whole school knows the second you mess up." Neville grumbled, shoveling a spoonful of mashed potatoes in his mouth.

   After classes, the four of us met at the lake. Tristan had said that he had something better to do than gossip about teachers. We all saw right through his fib, but decided it would be best to leave him alone. 

"So tell us about this crazy teacher of yours." Amelia said as we sat in a circle. 

"He tortured spiders with the forbidden curses, infront of the whole class." Neville said softly. 

"I hate spiders, but not that much." Bella said, grimacing at the thought.

"I think there's something else up besides the fact that the man is crazy. I've met this man many times, he's been after Lucius for years. He's always been a bit crazy, but something's different this time around. He seems even crazier than before." I said, shaking my head.

"Well, you haven't even seen Lucius since you started Hogwarts, right? Maybe something has happened since them to push him over the edge." Bella said.

"A lot can happen in a year, you ought to be one to know that." Amelia finished.
