The next day went to our classes, Care of Magical Creatures being the last. We watched as Hagrid lead a Hippogriff out of the forest.
"He's beautiful." I said to Neville, who was next to me.
"More like terrifying." He said, eyes wide as he stared at the creature.
"Who want's ter greet Buckbeak?" Hagrid asked.
I stepped forward as everybody else stepped back. Except Harry. He got confused and stood still. I tried to hold back a laugh as Hermione pulled him backwards, causing him to stumble.
"Arista, good. First ya have to bow." He said.
I did as told, doing a low bow to the magnificent creature. Buckbeak stared at me curiously.
"Get back, Arista." Hagrid ordered when the creature didn't bow back.
I started to back away when the creature finally bowed.
"I guess he'll let ya pet 'im now." Hagrid said.
I slowly walked forward and petted the Hippogriff.
"He'll let ya ride 'im now." Hagrid said, picking me up and setting me on Buckbeak's back.
"Don't pull out 'is feathers, he won't take kindly to that." Hagrid said.
Buckbeak took off, flying into the air as I held on tight. We soared through the air as my classmates looked up at us. We flew over the Black Lake before circling back at the sound of Hagrid, I'm guessing, whistling. We landed easily and Hagrid helped me down.
"That was awesome!" I exclaimed, walking over to the boys.
Me hair was crazy from the wind, since I hadn't tied it up before we took off. I ran my finger through my, now bright yellow hair. Before anyone else got to speak, though, my brother decided to do something stupid, like always.
"You aren't scary are ya, ya brute." He spat at Buckbeak.
Git.
"Malfoy." Hagrid warned.
Buckbeak rose on his hind legs. I rushed forward, pushing my so called brother out of the way as Buckbeaks hooves came down, scraping me on the left shoulder. I fell to the ground as the boys rushed over. The pain wasn't unbearable, but it sure did hurt.
"Are you okay, Arista." Hagrid asked.
"Yeah, Madam Pomfrey should be able to fix it." I said.
"Class dismissed. Arista, you go straight to the Hospital wing. Longbottom, you go with her." Hagrid ordered.
I nodded as the boys helped me up off of the ground. Neville led me to the Hospital Wing. Why does my brother have to be such an arrogant prick?
