"did you bring it?" reki said ecstatically as he hopped out of bed.
the door to his room opened a bit more and he saw his mom holding his skateboard that was covering her face.
"reki, i don't understand why you need this." his mom commented and reki laughed and grabbed the board from her.
the room had tile like any other hospital room so he was lucky. also lucky that his room was big enough to skate around a bit.
"i like skating." reki said as he dropped the board on the ground and hopped on.
"i understand that, but shouldn't you be saving your breath?" his mom said as she laid on his bed.
reki then hopped off his skateboard and slid it under his bed. he then jumped on his mom who was laying down still.
"what for exactly?" his mom said and she shrugged her shoulders.
"i don't know." reki's mom said and reki just continued to lay next to his mom as she ran her fingers through his hair. he's always loved this, ever since he could remember.
"hello reki." ala said as she knocked on the door and walked in. reki then sat up and ran to her.
"ala, i just realized that you never officially met my mom." reki said enthusiastically with a smile and grabbed her hand and dragged ala to his mother who was slowly getting up from the bed.
"ala this is my mom. mom, ala." reki said and then ran to the other side of the bed and got his skateboard that he slid under.
"well, i hope you darlings have fun." reki said as he held his skateboard in one hand against his side.
"reki wait-" ala said and reki waved his hand in the air as he ran out the door.
"ill be back by six! two hours!" reki yelled before he closed the door and ran for the elevator.
reki giggled to himself as he pressed the cafeteria door and was humming out a jingle he had stuck in his head. reki was pumped. he had to wait two days for his mom to bring him his skateboard and it's also been two days since he's seen langa.
the elevator doors opened and he ran a little, dropped the skateboard on the floor and hopped on. he made sure that if there was anyone coming, he'd be extra careful for their sake.
he rode all the way to the cafeteria and then hopped off popping his skateboard in the air and catching it. he then strolled to the dining room and when he approached their usual spot langa wasn't there.
reki frowned and looked around a bit for his aqua haired friend and he saw nothing. he then started to wonder if it was because reki didn't meet him here yesterday.
reki had some type of attack similar to an asthma attack that caused him to gasp for air and to cough uncontrollably. his mother demanded he stay in bed for at least a day and when he did, she'd bring him his skateboard the next.
reki then turned on his heels and headed for some worker at some stall. he saw a man flipping a burger on a stove top and approached him.
"excuse me?" reki said and the man turned his head slightly and when he saw reki, he turned his body fully.
"what can i get you young man?" the man asked approaching the cash register and reki shook his head.
"oh nothing, thank you. I was just wondering if you knew where the ED ward was?" reki asked and the man nodded and placed his index finger on his chin as he looked up, thinking.
"i believe it's floor seven." the man said and reki nodded his head silently saying thank you and immediately jogged off.
reki hopped on his skateboard again and rode it all the way to the elevator. again, on the elevator he went. pressing the weird yet cute bedroom buttons. he pressed bedroom seven and when the doors opened he thought he was on the wrong floor because it looked exactly like his.
