it's been two weeks since the accident with langa and reki has been working up a deal with shins.
langa has been getting weaker and everyone can see it. he's walking slower, he's losing excessive hours of sleep which is making him look like a pale zombie.
reki has been getting worse as well. the oxygen is barely helping him breathe so it's come to no use. some days it's helpful but some more than not. so he's been coughing a lot more lately, also not being able to sleep since he's wheezing at night.
it's been tough for these two individuals but of course, they hardly voiced their hardships.
the thing that reki wanted to do was take langa out of the hospital for a day of fun, like a normal teenager.
"please shins." reki begged as he clasped onto his fanny pack that held his oxygen tank.
"absolutely not." shins said and shook his head walking to the elevator. "where is langa anyways?" shins asked and pressed the elevator button.
"he's in the cafeteria right now." reki said and when the elevator doors opened shins stepped in and reki followed him.
"please, please, please! this will be the last time i ever ask you something like this please." reki said and then groaned. "i know that you know he can be gone any day now." reki said air going dry.
"reki, i know that and for that reason alone i cannot let him leave this hospital." shins said and the elevator door opened to the lobby and shins walked to the front desk.
reki followed and when he saw cherry and joe waiting in the lobby, he had this brilliant idea.
"hey cherry, joe." shins said as he approached the two individuals who were leaning on the front desk.
shins said a few words to the front desk lady and she handed him a file. shins grabbed it and turned towards joe and cherry.
"okay. we have ethel green. she's going into surgery the day after tomorrow to have her appendix removed." shins said as he handed the file over to cherry.
"she's nine years old. very nervous. loves pink." shins said and then continued. "bring her something pink." shins said and joe nodded.
"i'd be a good dad." joe said and cherry rolled his eyes and reki saw this as a chance to step in.
"speaking of good dads." reki said and shins looked at him. "you trust cherry and joe to an extent, right?" reki said and shins pondered a little but nodded his head.
"why don't you let me and langa go out, and cherry and joe can chaperone." reki suggested and looked at shins who shook his head. "miya can come too, he stays out of trouble." reki added.
"i'd be totally down-"
"where did you plan on going?" cherry interrupted joe and reki looked at him.
"i'd want to take him to an indoor aquarium. the one that's about two miles from here." reki said and cherry nodded his head smiling.
"as much as i want to say yes, the doctor has to say the okay-"
"i know she won't be here for another week since they only come check once a week." reki said and then walked to a chair and all three adults followed him.
"i can't wait a week." reki said as he sat down. "we don't even know if we have that. please, just make an excuse or something. i already talked to ala and she's on board." reki said and shins scoffed as he sat down next to reki.
"my sister poala? she's on board with this?" shins asked with a surprised voice and reki nodded his head.
"she actually is." reki said and shins sighed.
