"langa you're doing great!" reki said as he watched langa gain some good speed. "now lift your foot and put it on the deck!" reki shouted and langa bit his lip as he did and he had both feet on the board.
"yes! yes!" reki cheered and was langa laughed as he rolled.
"he's getting better, yuji." miya said as he recorded langa and reki jumping up and down.
"woah, woah, woah." langa said as he started losing his balance. and again, the board slipped out from under him. he fell on his back and he fell to the floor with a thump.
"he's getting there." miya said as he turned the camera to face him. "i have to go make sure he's okay, i guess." miya said as he recorded himself and you can hear langas complaints in the background as reki was laughing his head off.
"okay you're improving." reki said as he wiped a tear and then offered langa his hand. langa took his hand and reki pulled him up.
"having fun?" miya said as he approached them.
"of course i am." langa said and got back on the board. langa got used to pushing with his foot but he just needed to stay balanced as he put his foot back on.
"he's going to be tired in the morning for his surgery." miya said as he stood next to reki who watched langa kept trying.
"he won't listen to me." reki said and saw how langa was pushing and putting his foot on the board but hesitating and putting it back on the ground. "he just wants to learn this last thing before tomorrow."
"is it really that risky?" miya asked and reki sighed as he nodded his head.
"yeah it is." reki said and miya pinched his lips into a line. "he's got this, though. he's a fighter."
reki watched langa put his foot on the board and he got a good motion going. reki's eyes started widening and so did his smile. langa had his foot on the board long enough. he put his foot back on the ground and pushed his foot and lifted it back on, without falling. he did it.
"langa! you did it!" reki exclaimed and langa looked back and smiled at reki and miya.
"he should really pay attention to where he's-"
"langa watch out!" reki yelled and langa looked ahead of him. he ran straight into a big air conditioner.
reki and miya closed one eye and scrunched their faces as they saw langa stick to the thing for a second and then fall on his back. miya shook his head with a grin and reki laughed. the two boys then walked over to a langa who was just laying on the floor.
"you good?" reki asked and squat down to look at langa who had his eyes closed.
"never been better." langa said clearly in pain and with his eyes closed.
"okay come on. that's enough for today." reki said and grabbed langas arm and langa groaned as reki pulled him up.
"i think that crash did something to my tube." langa complained as he touched at his throat. reki then scrunched his forehead in concern and touched langas tape that was falling off his face. he rubbed his thumb against langas cheek to secure the tape.
"is the discomfort in your throat?" reki asked as he kept running his thumb along the tape of langas cheek and langa just shrugged his shoulders.
"no it's gone. i guess it was just sudden." langa said and reki nodded his head and dropped his thumb from langas cheek.
miya just stood, observing the two with an eyebrow raised and his camcorder out.
"well aren't you sweet, reki?" miya said recording reki with a grin and reki's smile fell and he looked at miya.
