Song to listen to while reading - Brave by Jhené Aiko
Alex

"...and don't stop stop until you find her!" I yelled, hanging up with anger.

My men really are idiots sometimes for $12 an hour! They should be waiting on me hand and foot!

It's been almost 4 months and at first, my brothers and I thought we had a lead in finding Cheyenne but we're pretty much back to square one. My father won't say anything and my mother just keeps on spitting conspiracy theories about what his intentions are.
She thinks he's working with the Italian mafia but we're not even Italian.
But she did say something that stood out to me:

"I caught him making business deals but that was around the time we lost our business. I also found out that he was having an affair with a woman who was always asking for money. Every time he heard his phone ring, he would frantically leave the room. And when you left with Cheyenne and her little brother, he was really pissed. Not because you left but because you left with her."

I've been really thinking and I mean really thinking about what my mother said. I couldn't believe he would do this after all I've put up with.

Cheyenne
I look at the ceiling, thinking of a place better than this one. I am running in a field of daisies with the smell of honey and the feel of a cool breeze. I look out into the sunset and-

I am startled at the creak of the door.
"Knock knock."
It's the guy that gives me my food everyday but he doesn't have anything in his hand.
"Why are you keeping me here?" I whisper.
"Now now, we do this everyday. As you know, I can't disclose that information." He smiled quickly.
He had bags under his eyes that didn't show age but showed fatigue. His blond hair was slicked back, complimenting his ice blue eyes.
"How are you feeling today?" He asked, sitting at the foot of my bed.
" I'm okay. I guess."
" You know, I'm going to let you call your loved one today. As long as you do something for me." He stated.
"You'll let me call Alex?" I asked, my eyes tearing up.
"Yes, I will, but you have to persuade him let me take control of his little 'company'"
