Drive - Miley Cyrus

Alex

When I got through the gate, I noticed that Cheyenne's car was gone. I checked my phone to see if she has called or texted. There were no calls but there was only one text from her, it read:

Alex, sorry about everything and I just wanted you to know that I miss you an I love you. I'm at the bank with mother and I'll be back in a flash.

Xoxo 😘

I texted back with a simple I love you too. And headed into the house. I was greeted with the smell of spaghetti and fresh garlic bread.

"Hello Mr. Channing."

"Mrs. Bedwell. Hey! You're back. How's the baby?" I asked.

"Great, doing just fine. I'm so glad to be back, I missed cooking for you guys! How was dinner with Cheyenne? And where is she? Id love to see her." She said, with a smile.

"What do you mean dinner? Today? And plus, she told me that she was at the bank with her mother." I asked.

"She called and said you and she were going to be late because you guys were going out for dinner." She said with her smile fading.

"Mrs. Bedwell, I haven't seen Cheyenne since this morning."

"I'm pretty sure it's nothing, I'll just call her." She said, stirring faster.

"I'll handle this, you just worry about the food." I said calmly, pulling out my phone.

I dialed the numbers fast but the voicemail started just as fast. I tried over and over, texting and calling, leaving voicemails.

"Dammit!" I yelled, getting more frustrated by the second.

I didn't know what to do. First Cadence now Cheyenne, I can't lose her. I just can't. That night, I couldn't sleep because she didn't come home.
