It's been a few weeks since they last had visitors. When Albedo was basically dragged to the castle Aether stayed in the two had a chat about Mondstadt and both sharing their sides of the story on how the got captured.

Of course whenever Dainsleif and Albedo came to visit Albedo and Kaeya would talk about their struggles of being prisoners or servants to the two men while Aether and Dainsleif would discuss possible things they could take from Mondstadt while pretending that they would kill the former captains of Mondstadt.

Although today was very slow. Dainsleif had business to attend to so Albedo was left at the palace with only maids and guards. Albedo would try to escape through the balcony if he could but the stupid doors were locked with a chain and only Dainsleif had the key, at night he'd store the key in a safe so Albedo wouldn't steal it.

Albedo missed Mondstadt yes but he did miss Khaenri'ah, it's been forever since he's been here. Plus the sweets in Khaenri'ah were delicious. Albedo always steals a couple when Dain isn't looking.

Kaeya was currently very confused about his eye. It was perfectly fine yesterday, now it's all black around his pupil, speaking of the pupil it's now blue, still keeping it's Khaenri'ah star in it. Kaeya didn't understand, nothing hurt either and that's the weirdest part.

Maybe this is what happens when he starts to fall into the abyss. Even if so he needs to ask the blonde prince about this.

As he makes his way down the hall he fixes his suit and tie as well as his eye patch. Kaeya knocked on the door and Aether allowed him to come in.

As Kaeya walked in he closed the door behind him. "Your majesty there is something wrong with my eye. " "Your eye? " Kaeya nodded and removed the eye patch.

Aether pulled Kaeya down closer and examined it. "It wasn't like this yesterday was it? " "No" 'Does it hurt? " 'No" Aether only hummed. "Then everything is fine and going as planned, you should get going. If it starts bothering you go to bed in my room understood? " "Yes your majesty" And with that Kaeya left, still confused by what Aether meant.

Someone came running to him. "Kaeya Alberich, bough keeper Dainsleif request for your presents at the castle in Khaenri'ah, he said it's important. " Kaeya nodded. "I shall inform him, get a carriage ready" The abyss creature nodded and left as Kaeya went to inform Aether.

"What exactly for?" "They didn't say, all I was informed of that it was urgent. " Aether let out a small yawn and stretched as he got up. "Alright, let's get going then. "

As soon as they got there Albedo was scolding Dain. Albedo sighed and looked over. "Take a seat, it's gonna be a long discussed. " And it definitely was. Dainsleif explained how Mondstadt was planning on attacks on the abyss and how they're trying to locate the prince, the patrols consist of three people now and no one is allowed to leave.

Aether hummed. "Interesting, this is the state Mondstadt turns into when their beloved captains get captured by the abyss. " Aether smirked slightly. "Even if they come out to the abyss they can't get anywhere near here, far too many hilichurls, abyss mages, abyss Heralds and so much more. " Aether leaned back. "It'd be a death wish trying to attack Khaenri'ah at it's castle. "

Aether took a sip of the drink a maid brought over for him and Dainsleif. Kaeya and Albedo were playing a silent game of rock paper scissors since they had nothing better to do. "But if they wanna do this then so be it, let's bring up our defenses as well, more hilichurls and abyss mages at camps. " Aether smirked. "They'll have no other option but to give us what we want. "

"You never specified what you want. " Aether let out a small chuckled. "Complete power over Mondstadt of course, then we'll attack Liyue since they don't have their god anymore, and soon we'll wait for Inazuma's weak point to show and we'll take advantage of that. " Dain nodded. "Are you positive it will work though? "
