chapter 14:The Calvary Captain's welcome back party!

Kaeya was aware many people would miss him, but he didn't think they'd celebrate a party for him. "Of course we still won't rest until we get Albedo and Klee, but we can at least celebrate getting our Calvary captain back. " Eula nodded. "You should try and relax while you're back. However don't think that I won't take vengeance for  making the people of Mondstadt worry. "

Kaeya simply smiled and gave a small laugh. "Trust me, I would've came back sooner. To be honest the food there wasn't that good. " Kaeya took a bite of a strawberry that was on a platter full of food. Taking a closer look at the table he noticed the delicious looking sweet Madame, the way they tried to imitate his fruity chicken skewers made him smile a bit more, and some fine wine on the side.

"We made sure that the skewers were cooked to your liking. " Amber said with a smile. "And if it wasn't for master Diluc we would've payed full price for all the wine. " She added. "So you should enjoy this meal, Amber did her best to prepared it for you. "

Kaeya smiled. "Well I offer you my thanks then. You didn't have to but, I do appreciate the thought. " Keaya sat down. "Now I'm starving, I haven't eaten food that wasn't dry for months."

Everyone enjoyed the delicious meal prepared by Amber and chatted away cheerfully knowing that they at least had the Calvary captain back.

"Even though we still have a long way to go before getting Albedo and Klee back at least we have Kaeya. " Jean looked over at Kaeya. "However I hope you can help us get them back Kaeya. " Kaeya looked over and took a bite of his skewer and nodded. "Yup, if I remember correctly there was a secret door in the back for an exit, however it'll be able to get us in. "

Kaeya thought about what would happen if he went behind Aether's back. The things that he would do to him. Kaeya drooled at the thought, however quickly snapping back to reality when Eula cleared her throat.

"I have a small plan. " Kaeya explained how he can distract anyone in the surrounding area while Jean goes in to grab to two. "I'm not sure if it's a good idea.... We just got you back. " "But if you lose me Albedo would be able to come up with a complete and thought out plan to get me back. "

Jean sighed, Kaeya was right. With Albedo being their captain of the investigation team and a genius he could think of a good plan to get Kaeya back. "Alright, we'll ask Diluc for that book that we used to enter Khaenri'ah tomorrow. " Kaeya nodded.

After the meal Kaeya was on his way to the winery. He wanted to get the book so he can get Albedo and Klee back quickly. He wasn't gonna wait he was gonna do it now and there.

Kaeya opened the door and explained to Diluc to situation and his plan. "Absolutely not. " "But Diluc! " "I'm not losing you again Kaeya! " Kaeya sighed. Didn't know Diluc would get so overprotective but hey, at least he still cared about him.

"What if you come with me? To keep me safe. Please Luc, I don't want them to suffer there any longer. " Diluc flinched when Kaeya hugged him, he sighed and hugged Kaeya back. "Fine, but we must be quick. " Kaeya pulled back and smiled as he nodded.

The two grabbed their swords and the book, going to a good enough space to open the gateway and quickly made their way to the castle. Kaeya saw the abyss herald that always stayed by Aether's side which meant he was in the castle.

"We best be careful, that's my fiance's body guard. " "And you still call him your fiance. " "To piss you off. " Diluc sighed as they made their way to the secret door. Step by step they got closer. The two carefully walked up the stairs. Kaeya opened the door ever so slightly and motioned Diluc to follow him.

Kaeya looked around and moved a certain painting, reveling a door. "A secret passage way? " He whispered. Kaeya nodded. "Yes, now follow me. " Diluc did just that. They listened through the walls as they neared the room where Albedo stayed in. Kaeya heard Dainsleif and Aether's voice, good, they could get Albedo.

Kaeya ever so slightly moved the painting and peaked in. "Albedo! " He whisper-yelled. "Get your ass over here we're breaking you out. " "No." "What do you mean no you whore I could get killed for this. " "I don't know Kaeya, I mean, do I really need Mondstadt. "

Kaeya sighed. "Albedo we'll take Klee and leave you ass here let's go. " "Fine asshole. " "Speaking of Klee can you grab her? " Kaeya gave him a nervous smile. "Fine, stay there. " Kaeya nodded and went behind the painting, smiling at Diluc.

As soon as Albedo walked out of the room he bumped into Dain. "Oh, I was about to grab you. " "For what? " "Well I figured I should get you out of the castle and take you for a walk down one of the old cities. " "Ah, I was actually gonna hang out with Klee for a little bit in our room. " "Well do I have permission to join you two? "

Fuck. That damned smirked on Dain's face. This fucker probably already knew his plan. "I'd prefer private sibling bonding between us. " "Aw, please dear? " Albedo blushed when Dainsleif pulled him close.

"Tell you what, tonight we can get private time, just me, you, and no one else. " "Oh? And what would happen if you're not there tonight or you change your mind? " "Then you can decide whatever punishment you want for me you kinky asshole. "

Albedo slipped out of his grip. "See you tonight. " "Alright." Dainsleif gave him a kiss on his cheek. "I love you. " "I love you too, Dain. " Albedo knew he'd feel bad about this but he shouldn't keep Klee here, no, she needs somewhere better than this godforsaken land.

Albedo quickly brought Klee to the room and moved the painting. While they snuck out Albedo, very quietly, explained to her what was happening. Once they got out they were on the run. Albedo carried Klee while they ran for their secret exit.

Once they arrived they quickly ran through the portal, closing it and sitting down on the floor as they all three sighed in exhaustion. "I have a spare room you two can stay in for tonight. " "You have another room? " "No you can sleep with me, unless you want to sleep on the couch. "

After the meal the maids cooked for them Albedo was brushing Klee's hair. "Hey big brother? " "Yes Klee? " "Did you love Dainsleif? " Albedo flinched. "Yes... Why? " "Well.... Before you arrived to Mondstadt mom told me that if you really loved someone you would always stay by their side. "

Albedo let out a small sigh as he gently brushed through her hair. "I only left because I knew you shouldn't stay in a place like that, Khaenri'ah isn't a place for you. " "I could've went by myself. " "I know but I wouldn't be able to stay with out my dear little sister. " Albedo smiled at her.

"The most important thing is family right? " Klee nodded. "Then you'll always be more important to me, you'll come before anyone else. " "Even mom? " Albedo gave her a soft smile. "Even mom. " Albedo yawned. "Now let's get some rest, I will explain everything to Jean in the morning. " Klee nodded and layed down, falling asleep next to her big brother.

She won't lie, she's gonna miss that guy Dainsleif, he made Albedo smile in a different way. Maybe she should try and get him to move in with them in Mondstadt.... Yeah! She'll do just that!

Wow V where have you been. Dead that's where I've been. Anyways sorry for such the long wait. I promise once I get more free time I'll focus on the book and start the dainbedo fic I promised. I tried to keep my fic related to my dumb theories but Mihoyo had other plans so the Dainbedo fic I'm gonna focus on my main theory while keep Dainsleif a Royal guard. For now he is our king. Good day/night/afternoon.
