Kaeya feels so different fighting monsters of the abyss, it feels like everytime he fights one he hurts Aether, it makes his job harder day by day.

Aether on the other hand was obvious pissed, he couldn't even think straight. Why? Where? What even happened? Aether has so many questions but no one to answer them. Dainsleif had his own things to take care of and so did he.

His main priority is to get his Kaeya back, bring him to where he belongs, home.

"Your majesty. " Aether sighed. "What? " "We have location on Kaeya, should we proceed to lure him into a trap? " Aether thought for a second. "Are we sure this would work? " The abyss mage nodded. "We have gotten rid of the pesk who took your prince away. "

Aether hummed. "So he's dead? " "No, I meant as in staying away from the abyss, we'll have a higher chance of grabbing him. " Aether sighed. If only that asshole really did die. "As soon as you have the chance grab him and bring him back quickly. " The abyss mage nodded. "Yes your Highness. "

Aether sighed as it left. He entered his room and walked to the balcony. He looked out at Khaenri'ah, it was a mess.... But something that can one day be fixed.

Once Khaenri'ah begins it's new beginning Aether will rule side by side with his Kaeya. A ring on his hand as they rule a godless Nation.

He had heard the unfortunate news of that stupid pesk taking Albedo and Klee too. Aether wanted to torture him, to watch him suffer. However he can't, he's important to Kaeya, Kaeya cares about him just as much as Aether.

Aether sighed in frustration. How could he possibly torture someone Kaeya cared about? It really would make Kaeya hate him. And he would hate himself for it.

Aether walked in his room and layed down on the bed. The same bed they shared their special night together, where they'll share many more. Aether couldn't help but be comforted by the fact that Kaeya slept with him in this very bed.

He closed his eyes and couldn't help but imagine his head on Kaeya's lap, softly humming as he pet Aether's head gently. It felt really for some reason, so vivid like he could almost hear his soft hum, feel his cheek against the soft skin.

It felt so nice.... It made him feel so comfortable.... So calm... Aether yawned, it made him tired. However he continued to stay awake at the thought of his head on Kaeya's lap, humming him a small tune as he slowly fell asleep on the man's soft lap.

He really is such a wonderful person to make him think such things, huh? Lumine use to use this same method to calm Aether down when he had nightmares at a young age. She'd do her best. Maybe that's why he liked it so much. Maybe it's because Kaeya makes him feel just as calm as Lumine did....

Maybe..... Just maybe they can do this very same thing one day.....

Kaeya panted as he got surrounded by a group of hilichurls. He could still hold on! He just needed a plan. However he didn't have time to come up with one as they inched closer to him.

As he backed up he hit a wall behind him. "Fuck" He thought as he sighed. He flinched when he was grabbed by a hilichurl and tied up. "Let go of me! " He tried to scream for help before being muffled. Oh he prayed they weren't gonna kill him.

Kaeya waited for about half an hour until he saw a hilichurl having a conversation with an abyss mage. Even though he couldn't hear them he knew exactly what they were talking about.

They were talking about him  .

Kaeya desperately tried to free himself. Was Aether gonna kill him? Lock him up? Torture him? Kaeya didn't wanna know. He sighed and gave up. He did miss Aether.... He missed him a lot....

Aether could be sweet.... He can be good. Maybe Kaeya can make him change his mind. He didn't want Aether leaving him alone here in Teyvat, but he knew how much his sister missed him. He could try and make Aether visit her, make him talk to her.

Kaeya allowed himself to be transported to Khaenri'ah however it took quite awhile to get the their destination. Kaeya had passed out during the ride there. He ended up dreaming about his husband.

A nice dinner date, Aether and Kaeya talking about their day, exchanging sweet words to each other. Kaeya liked it.... He liked it a lot.....

Unfortunately he was woken up quite rudely and thrown into a cell. "Until his majesty gives us orders you'll be staying in here. " And with that it left.

Kaeya huffed and crossed his arms. "I want some comfort at least. " Kaeya thought, obviously pouting about the poor treatment.

When Aether received news about Kaeya's arrival he was more then pleased. However he was still coming up with ways to make Kaeya stay. "Is Kaeya like a slut? Could I maybe make him stay by doing sexual things to him? " Aether mumbled.

He thought of things Kaeya might like. He liked wine! He could offer him limitless(ish) wine from only the best!  He could give Kaeya the best treatment he could ever get! Only the most comfortable things, the best clothing, and given attention every ounce of the day.

He could bathe Kaeya in luxury, treat him like a true queen or king. Or he could rightfully punish Kaeya for leaving, hold him accountable for his actions and- yeah never mind he's gonna spoil him to death.

Aether got ready, dressed in his usual clothes and made his way to where Kaeya was being held. He snapped his fingers as two abyss mages moved away from the door, immediately going back to their position once Aether walked in and closed the door.

Aether walked down and stopped in front of the cell.

"Finally, you're back in my arms, where you should be, I hope you never run off like that again, my dear. "

Sorry for like being gone for so long, it might be another while until I update this but I plan to end it in at least 20 chapters? Maybe 17.....however I am really sorry for taking long breaks, I hope you enjoy the book and I'll see you all later.
