Hyejin wakes up with her limbs entangled with Jimin's.
She didn't expect to sleep with the blonde so soon, let alone at all. He was attractive to her for sure, but he's not her typical type. His unwavering confidence is truly what drew her in. But for both of them, this was merely just a one night stand. They had a weird dynamic but it made sense to them.
She was feeling so lonely and so small, and he just so happened to be there.
*Flashback*
Hyejin is sat at the library getting ahead of her school work and looking over her syllabi. She wasn't always this studious. In fact, she did pretty terrible in high school. She would much rather write music or learn an instrument than to be bothered by meaningless mathematical formulas and scientific theories.
It was the fact that now she finally able to focus on the subject she loves most: music, that gave her the motivation to work hard in college. Sure, she had to take some required classes for her major like language, writing, poetry... but she loved all of that and embraced the fact that those classes will only help her excel in her craft.
She grew up in a loving and humble household by the country side. Her father is a farmer and her mom a teacher. She has two older sisters, making her the maknae of the family. Despite not coming from much, they made do with what they had.
Thankfully, Hyejin was very active in musical theater growing up. She is no stranger to the stage. In fact, she was so good that she was offered a scholarship to go to the very school she's in. If she were being honest, without the scholarship, she would have just opted to find a decent job and sing at a bar or something part time. Despite her parents insisting that they would find a way to fund her education regardless, Hyejin couldn't bare the thought of creating any financial burden for them.
She's grateful things worked out in her favor and she promised herself to make this full ride worth it. And to do that, she has to immerse herself in her education unlike she ever has before. But you know what they say— when you're doing something you love, you never work a day in your life.
Unfortunately for her, she had been texting her ex Hyukwoo on and off all day. Through his persistence, they had agreed to remain good friends despite the breakup. If it were solely up to her, she would have preferred to be given breathing room for a couple of months but as always he is very convincing. She will always have feelings for him after all.
But as they kept messaging, she immediately regretted being so taken with his words.
They had mutually agreed that they had the right to move on and to see other people. Apparently, this wasn't so true for Hyukwoo and when she told him about Jimin he practically flipped.
She looked at their text message thread again.
Hyukwoo: Are you kidding me?
Me: Why are you getting so upset? I'm being honest and we agreed that we were going to move on.
Hyukwoo: Yeah, but I didn't mean your first day. Wtf Hyejin. Did I mean nothing to you?
Me: YOU were the one who broke up with me, remember? You pushed me away. You didn't want this relationship enough.
Hyukwoo: And it looks like I made the right decision.
*Read*
Hyejin was livid. He had no right to be angry with her. She blocked his number so that he couldn't reach her again when he was sorry or lonely. Who was she to act as his back up? He made the decision to break up and he needs to man up and live with that.
