When the song ended he spun her around so that she's facing him, their faces were only inches apart. Eyes challenging each other. Namjoon breaks the silence.

"So... not bad for someone with two left feet huh?" Namjoon jokes, sobering them up to the present situation at hand. Hyejin breaks out of her trance and laughs, a real hearty laugh. She smacks his chest lightly before stepping away from his grasp.

And just like clockwork, Jimin and Wheein have made their way up the stairs and into the VIP area, evidently none-the-wiser about what had just transpired between Namjoon and Hyejin.

The shorter male looks as though he had just finished a workout. Namjoon was sure his roommate was tearing it up on the dance floor just minutes ago. Wheein looked exhausted, but he noticed how she looked at his roommate adoringly. She looked happy. They both were.

"Rap monstaaa! Your set was lit!" Jimin praised patting the taller on the back.

"Glad you enjoyed it man. It was all Hyejin's idea." He smiled looking at the raven-haired girl.

"I only initiated it. In terms of execution, it was all you... and you were amazing." She looks at him seriously, her eyes staring deep into his soul as if to make sure that his entire being understood her words.

And he did. He knew she meant it. His heart swelled with pride and gratitude. There was no more denying that Hyejin made him feel things he couldn't explain. One minute he's lusting over her and the next he's melting over her sweetness.

He smiles at her in response, unable to formulate a sentence. Hyejin has that effect on him.

There was just one gray cloud looming over his mind though and its name is Yongsun. In his heart, he knew he had to let her go. He needs to grow and so does she- they just can't do it together.

He needs to make room for something more in his life, whether it be Hyejin or someone else. Heck, if it's just more room to focus on his passion for music, he'll be happy.

"What do you guys say we get some food and head back to the dorms? I'm starving! I saw Jungkook and Hoseok down there and they said they'll be here for a little longer and we can go ahead without them." Jimin breaks the silence.

Wheein raises her hand eagerly, jumping up and down. The remaining two laugh and nod at her puppy-like response.

The quartet make their way out of the club and to the nearest burger joint.

...

"I can't believe you like pickles." Namjoon chides as Hyejin and himself make their way to their hall. They separated from Jimin and Wheein not too long ago as his roommate decided to sleep in the blonde's dorm tonight.

"I can't believe you don't!" The girl says in disbelief. "It's the same idea as kimchi, except not..."

He rolls his eyes playfully as they approach Hyejin's door. He stands by awkwardly as she fishes out her keys in her clutch.

Throughout the night, he couldn't stop thinking about their little moment in the club. He replayed the memory countless times at this point. The warmth of their bodies, the alarmingly close proximity of his mouth and her neck... all of it was etched in his brain rendering him hopeless to thinking about anything else.

But nothing lit a flame in his heart more than what she made him feel. She made him feel competent and special. Hyejin's act of kindness may seem small to most but it meant a lot to him. He knows that she knows how much of a rut he was in and how music had the magical way of making things alright for him.

"Umm... shit" Hyejin whines, breaking him out of his thoughts.

He looks at her concerned.

"I must have dropped my keys at some point between the club and the restaurant."

She then makes the futile attempt to push against the clearly locked door thinking it will somehow open.

"Hey hey, you're gonna hurt yourself. Why don't you just sleep in my dorm? Jimin is at Wheein's, remember? He won't mind you crashing on his bed." Namjoon says to console her.

"Are you sure?" She asks, chewing on her bottom lip trying to think of an alternative solution.

Clearly there was no other solution and that's how Hyejin finds herself in his dorm.

She stands awkwardly, obviously not comfortable not being in her own room right now. Namjoon notices and smiles.

"You act like you haven't been here before, let alone Jimin's bed." He hollers when he catches the look on her face. It was a mixture of amused and completely mortified, but to his relief she laughs.

"You're the worst Joon!" She stares daggers at him, but her mouth is obviously trying to contain her smile.

Namjoon gives Hyejin one of his shirts and the smallest pair of shorts he has for her to wear to sleep.

Out of respect for her privacy, he turns around without being asked so she can get changed. He couldn't see but this made Hyejin smile.

"All changed!" She says after a few minutes.

It is then that Namjoon turns around to see her drowning in his clothes. She looked really cute if he were being honest. She had to tighten the string on the shorts really tight but he couldn't help but notice how well she suited his clothes.

He watches as Hyejin crawls up Jimin's bed, settling under the sheets.

He shuts off the lights and does the same except on his bed. Despite growing accustomed to sleeping alone, he felt as though there was an empty space on his bed having Hyejin literally a few feet away from him.

"Joon?" She calls amidst the comfortable silence, tiredness thick in her voice.

"Yes?" He's not sure why but the reality of having Hyejin in his room is making his heart beat faster.

There's a long pause and he wonders if she already fell asleep.

"Goodnight. See you in the morning."

He exhales a breath he didn't realize he was holding and bids her goodnight in return.

Namjoon turns over so he is facing Jimin's bed where Hyejin lies with her back turned to him. He can just barely make out her silhouette in the darkness, but is able to catch the steady rise and fall of her body as she succumbs to sleep.

It's crazy how the last time they were in this position, they were under very different circumstances.

And now they've developed... a friendship? Namjoon wasn't sure, but that's honestly what it was if they were being technical.

But ultimately calling it that left a hollow feeling within him.

He wants to know what she's feeling, and if she quite frankly feels anything for him before he does anything hasty. Also, making sure that he has a clean break with Yongsun. He flops over on his back overwhelmed for the emotional turmoil that's ahead of him.

With that he finally shuts his eyes. And he knows it's a dumb thought... but he hopes that Hyejin loses her keys more often.

Hello friends! Oh how I've missed you and this story. <3 I want to thank you all for your patience with me. I was so busy the last few months causing me to neglect this story for a bit. To put it briefly, being an adult sucks and I had no brain capacity for doing things I actually enjoy after finishing my work/ school responsibilities. But I am back! I hope I can provide more frequent updates moving forward and rest assured I don't think I will take another 2 month hiatus anytime soon. ;) I hope you enjoy this update although it's short. Thank you as always for reading and for continuously supporting my story(s).

XO
