Meliodas' POV:

I watched with a content smile, as (Y/N) skipped away from me humming, after finishing our conversation. She told me she didn't want to marry me, and that she was in love with my youngest brother, which I couldn't believe. Never had anyone gone against my father or my own wishes, yet she had just approached me with no fear of me retaliating against her, and full of confidence, ready to break our engagement. She really was someone truly extraordinary.

It wasn't that I couldn't believe she didn't want to marry me, in fact since meeting Elizabeth I didn't want to marry (Y/N) either. What I couldn't believe is that not only was she not afraid to be punished, but that she had fallen for my younger brother! The man who never showed any of his emotions, other than rage! Though in all fairness the same statement could be said about me.

Zeldris and her were going to ask our father if they could be married instead, and as (Y/N) had just explained to me "I wanted your blessing first that it was okay. Zel and I respect you greatly, and we don't want to shame you in any way." She smiled sweetly at me the whole time she spoke. Her bright white teeth blinded me. I couldn't help have the same smile grow on my face.

When I hugged her, and said of course, she squealed, sounding like a symphony of harps playing just for me. God she was adorable, and I would definitely miss having her all to myself, however she wasn't Elizabeth.

Of course no one knew about mine and Elizabeth's relationship, she was a goddess after all, causing her to automatically be our race's sworn enemy. I tried so hard, but couldn't help how I felt about her, I wanted to be a better man for her. Maybe that was probably why I was so understanding about (Y/N) and Zeldris.

Before I never believed in love, or any of that gooey, mushy type of shit. I just wanted to have great sex, and be the most powerful demon that everyone would cower in the presence of. (Y/N) had successfully given me both those things, but it wasn't enough. Although she truly was incredible and would have made the perfect queen, I didn't love her the way I should have. The way I loved Elizabeth.

Hand picked by my father from the moment she was conceived to be my wife, as her father was a trusted assassin, before I was 12 and old enough to take over that role. She was raised in the Fairy King's Forest, because her mother was a fairy. That's quite possible as to how she is so caring, yet just as ruthless when she needs to be. Having a fairy as a mother and a demon as a father, should have caused worry, to the fairies, however everyone was compelled by her beauty from the moment they saw her, including myself.

The moment I met (Y/N) I knew I was going to sleep with her, before my father had even told me about the engagement. The lust I was feeling towards her was insane, it was like she was surrounded by an aura of sex, begging me to touch her. She was the most beautiful woman in the Demon Realm, and with me being the next in line for the throne, I automatically assumed she would be just like every other demon gold digging slut.

I was pleasantly surprised when she proved that she was anything but that. She was funny, and could make every demon laugh, with her sassy remarks. With her fire abilities she quickly became a mastermind in torture, and genuinely enjoyed being as brutal as possible with it, towards our enemies. It wasn't uncommon to walk by the dungeon and hear her cackling, while her victims screamed out in udder pain.

Despite how frail she looked, she was extremely powerful. People often underestimated her, in battle, only to be taught the humiliating lesson, that her looks don't equal her strength. I loved to learn new battle strategies from her, and she had taught me about her ability to raise the temperature of her hands without actually having to create flames. She explained to me that by using this she could slowly burn her victims to tell her what she wanted to know.
