Chapter 13: Reunions Can Be Fun

Y/N POV:

The sudden feeling of my feet being lifted off the ground again, caused me to let out a loud gasp. Quickly I turned my head around to see who was holding me, my jaw instantly dropped. I was shocked to be staring into a pair of eyes that looked like crimson pools.

"Ban'' I cried out in a whisper. I could feel my body shaking, whether it be from excitement, or fear that this was a dream and he wasn't really here, I don't know. "Don't you dare leave me again. I told you I need you" He growled and pulled me into a passionate kiss, clearing every single thought from my mind.

I never wanted this moment to end, I finally felt my heart piece itself back together. I had missed his warm, smooth lips against mine. His strong arms held me tight against his muscle filled stomach. I felt his hot salty tears, mixed with mine on my lips as they slid down our faces, and intertwined with each other.

"Guys, seriously? You two can make out later, we have a kingdom to take back" A voice I knew well interrupted us. That voice, I thought to myself, could it really be possible? I looked behind Ban to see what I had first thought must have been a ghost, smiling back at me. I stared at the green eyed, messy blonde hair, child looking kid. I may have been furious at him before, but I missed him and his stupid smirk dearly.

"No, I'm not a ghost, I'm alive!" I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but I was so happy to see Melio. I don't know why I was so surprised though, of course that stupid man had escaped death. I continued to just stare at him in confusion, not knowing what to say to him to make up for the harm that I felt I had caused him, and the rest of his friends.

"King and Bon will explain it to you on your way back to the tavern, I'm gonna make things right now Y/N!" Melio had that stupid smile on his face. Jumping out of Bans arms, I ran to Melio embracing him with a tight hug. "I'm so sorry" We both shouted out at each other at the exact same time.

We pulled away from our embrace laughing causing Diane and Elizabeth to start crying. Stepping back from the hug, and looking around at all the faces surrounding us, I now realized all my friends were here to get me, and that they had brought an army.

"(Y/N) you have to go with Ban and King to safety." Arthur said on his way over to give me a hug. I smiled at the rightful King of Camelot, and gave him a quick hug. "You're not safe here. They will take you home, while the rest of Sins and I have a kingdom to take back!" Arther just smiled at me with no malice in his voice or showing in his purple eyes whatsoever. I kissed his cheek and thanked him, knowing that this was Camelot's army.

"Only you would need a whole damn army to rescue you from your ex husband (Y/N)" King laughed, while he tackled me to the ground in a bear hug. "I couldn't bear to lose another sister, so thank God you missed Ban enough to call out for him in your sleep, or Gloxinia would have never recruited us." I laughed pushing the fairy off of me, standing up to give him a real hug. "King, you have no idea how much I missed you. How much I missed all of you" I looked around at my family.

"I wanted to come home, I truly did, but I couldn't risk leaving here though. If I did and Zel had hurt any of you I would have never been able to forgive myself." I looked down at the stoney pathway that led to the gates of Camelot, ashamed of myself.

"(Y/N) you're apart of this family, which means you're life, and your happiness is worth all of us getting hurt for." It was Merlin who had spoken these words to me, leaving me utterly speechless. I had always thought Merlin didn't like me and that she had just put up with me for the sake of everyone else. But she had spoken these words as if they were facts, and truths that everyone had already known.

She shot me a small smile as if reading my racing mind. The happiness I felt from this group of people was unexplainable. They made my body feel as though it was made of sunshine, my heart felt warm, and as if it was beaming with light and that made it soar. They had risked their lives to come and free me, even after everything I put them through. Despite what I had done and what my past was. They truly were my family, my everything and they loved me as much as I loved them.

Hawk had trotted to stand in the front of the soldiers of the Camelot army. "You have to get going now (Y/N)" he snorted at me. "Yes indeed, there is a 90% chance Zeldris will use you as a shield to prevent his death, and that would make everything about this unfortunate situation more difficult than it needs to be. I also can hear in your mind that you don't want to watch your husband and first love die" Gowther informed the group, while placing his hand on his chin in thought.

In the corner of my vision, I saw Bans body grow tense at Gowther's words, while they had caused me to frown. "Gowther just shut up already!" Diane had yelled at the neon pink haired man. "Yes, Gowther you really need to learn how to read the room!" Escanor laughed at a confused looking Gowther. "You all keep saying I need to read the room, however we are not in a room, nor is there anything to read around here."

Before leaving with my two favourite people, I looked back at my oldest friend, and the one who had risked his life for me, Gloxy. How would I ever begin to thank him, for choosing to betry Zel, and giving me a shot at happiness. I ran over to him, giving him one more tight hug. "(Y/N), I'm gonna help them. I promise you that I won't let him hurt them."

Tears quickly overflowed down our faces from both our eyes. We both knew Zel well enough to know that he would never forgive him, for helping me leave. Zel would most likely accuse him of being the mastermind of taking me away from him. "Thank you! Thank you for everything Gloxy!" I cried out, resting our foreheads together for a minute.

"Thanks for taking care of her, for us" King waved at Gloxy. "It's your job now Harlequin! Keep her safe" Gloxinia smiled at him. I jumped onto kings pillow and waved one last time at my oldest friend, as King and Ban took me away. "Please, survive this Gloxy" I whispered in a prayer to the air before we lost visuals of them.
