Kings POV:
"What do you mean you wiped all of her memories Captain?" Myself, Hawk, Elizabeth, Arthur, and Diane looked at him in shock. Meliodas didn't answer, he just looked off out the window, lost in his own thoughts.
We had arrived in Camelot. Merlin had gotten a distress call from King Arthur, saying that the city was under attack. She teleported us there right away and The Captain had defeated what looked like a demon golem. we were then faced to battle with two Demons, from the dreaded group The Ten Commandments. I could help but find it odd that they kept asking how Meliodas had brainwashed (y/n).
It was after facing off between two of the commandments, Arthur noticed (y/n) wasn't with us, he began to question where she was, and Ban's ability to keep her safe. Diane quickly filled him in on her current situation, while I had asked if it was a coincidence that not only was (y/n) in danger, but now powerful demons are asking for her?
"You need to understand that it was done to (y/n) with her best interest in mind, keep her safe, as well as keep the Captain and Elizabeth safe." Elizabeth looked at Merlin clearly confused. "Lady Merlin, how was it to keep me safe? I didn't even know the Sins when Lady (y/n) met Sir Meliodas."
"Start from the beginning and tell us everything right now!" I screamed out at the three secret keeping Sins. "You see, (y/n) is a very powerful individual with demon blood" Gowther stated with the same stoic expression he always has. "YES WE ALREADY KNOW THAT!" I yell at him my voice laced with venom. I was sick of all of the secrets and we were wasting time.
"If she had her memories she would most likely kill the Captain, for locking away her husband, along with Princess Elizabeth. This would be because she looks like the goddess who killed her 3000 years ago." Gowther started to explain. I shook my head in disbelief.
"What do you mean her husband?" I questioned him confused, "Wait, she died 3000 years ago? That's impossible. I found her in the fairy forest 15 years ago?"
"King it's true, (y/n) died. It was during the holy war 3000 years ago. She was in front of a goddess's arc attack, it killed her instantly." Stated, an annoyed sounding Gowther. I heard Diane and Elizabeth gasp, I just stared at him in disbelief, not knowing how on earth he could possibly know that. Merlin then seemed to feel the tension between the two of us took over speaking.
"We don't know how or who resurrected her or why. For years I've been trying to figure out who had the power to accomplish it, but one day Meliodas and I heard a giant bang. There was a trail of thick, cloudy pink smoke, leading towards the woods. Not knowing what we would find Meliodas, Gowther and I followed it."
"Oh Lady Merlin that sounds so dangerous." Scolded Elizabeth. "After walking about a mile, we saw her laying in a carter, it was as if she had fallen from the sky, but her hair was perfectly in place, and there was no dirt on her at all.
"She didn't know who I was and hadn't seen Gowther or the Captain yet so I quickly acted and placed a spell on her to keep her into a deep sleep." I must have been shaking, because Diane had grabbed my hand, squeezing it tightly as we continued to listen.
"Once moving her to a safe location Gowther removed all of her past memories placing them into a goddess amber. We then placed her into the fairy forest knowing her past with the fairies, and assumed she would be safe there."
I couldn't stop vibrating. I was so angry. "Her past with the fairies, what does that even mean? What if I hadn't found her? What if she had gotten hurt?" I started to shout my questions at them then, yanking my hand out of Diane's. "The three of you knew about this the whole time and said nothing? How could you all just do this, and feel no remorse for your actions, and then continue on pretending you all just met her 15 years ago?"
Gowther looked up at me with no expression on his face "She was safest in the fairy forest as long as Geraldine was still alive." The way he was talking was as if he thought that this was all common information, as if it had no weight on the situation at all.
"What does Geraldine have to do with any of this? Was she in on this plan too?" I somehow managed to get out a shaky breath, even though the answers I was getting just kept getting worse and causing more questions.
"Of course she was. King as you know, being First Fairy King Gloxinia's sister, Geraldine is bound to protect his best friend, who happens to be (y/n). She and him were very close as she was like a sister to him. She was deductively the best person to trust, and currently has the Goddess amber holding (y/n) memories" I turned around, still shaking to leave the tavern, not wanting to hear anymore. "Also the fact that (Y/N) has fairy blood in her veins as well as demon, thanks to her mother being a fairy."
I stared at the sin of lust in utter disbelief. "YOU'RE TELLING ME THIS WHOLE TIME YOU KNEW SHE WAS HALF DEMON AND HALF FAIRY AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US ANYTHING!" I had lost all sense of calm and was filled with rage. Hawk who had been hiding behind the bar let out a tiny fear filled whimper.
"You guys are monsters!" I turned away from them and I was about to fly out the tavern door, when Meliodas finally broke his silence.
"King. We had to take her memories of her husband. Knowing he was locked away and that she couldn't help him." He then turned to meet my eyes before continuing. "Knowing that, it would have destroyed her, you and I both know the lengths she would go to, trying to set someone she loves free. She wouldn't be our ally or friend but possibly our greatest enemy. She wouldn't have been capable of loving Ban. Her as a threat would have been worse than the 10 commandments."
"That wasn't your decision to make" Arthur sneered at the captain. It had been painfully obvious to us from the moment we met him three weeks ago, that he was still in love with (y/n). He was sitting at a table with his head in his hands, and I honestly forgot he was even here. His silence beforehand must have been the shock of hearing that he in fact was not only her first love, but also the total shock that (Y/N) could be anyone, other than the (Y/N) who we all knew and loved.
I flew away in a flash, I couldn't hear anymore of the bull shit they kept spewing. I knew Ban would have taken her to the fairy forest to stay safe, she had always loved it there. If she has fairy blood then of course that's why she always felt so happy there, it was basically calling out to her. It made perfect sense that she would feel safe surrounded by other fairies.
I shook my head quickly trying to process all the new information I had just received. Was our bond only because of her past, and she was subconsciously trying to gain that piece of her life back?
No, that can't be right. She was my best friend, and basically my sister. Since Elaine had died, (y/n) had unknowingly perfectly filled that gaping hole in my heart. I promised myself I would never leave her like I left Elaine, and then I did just that to protect her for ten years.
Now knowing that Geraldine has her memories I had to make sure she got them back. This is how I would make things right. No matter who (y/n) was in the past, she deserved to know. she's still (y/n) after all.
