Winter

Everyday Winter's illness has gotten worse even though before Hawksky could start treating it. "H-Hawksky." Winter said weakly. Hawksky's eyes widened at Winter's worsen sate. Winter started coughing up blood. "Winter, you don't sound so good." Hawksky said. "Please, Hawksky I don't want to die." Winter managed to say. "I will get you some juniper berries to help the pain." Hawksky said as Winter struggled to breathe. Soon after she died due to greencough. I walked into the medicine den  to see Winter's lifeless body. "No, Winter." I cried as my mother curled her tail around me. Lusterstrike walked into the healers den to see her daughter dead. "I'm so sorry Lusterstrike, I couldn't save her." Hawksky explained through tears. Flame walked into the healers den with her mother Riverdusk. "Riverdusk, Winter is dead due to greencough." Hawksky said. "We should tell the colony about this." Mom said as she looked at Riverdusk. "Yeah, Pumatail is right we should tell the colony." Riverdusk said as she walked over to the wet rock and jumped up. "Let all cats old enough to fish in our river gather beneath the wet rock for a meeting." Riverdusk announced. "Winter has passed on to join the ancestors due to a minor case of greencough, may the ancestors light her path." Riverdusk announced sadly. A tear rolled down Lusterstrike's face to the news. Lurkfeather approached us. "Hi Pumatail, how are you?" Lurkfeather asked. "I'm good  and you?" Mom asked. "I'm great and do you want to be mates?" Lurkfeather asked. "Sure, Tiger needs a father figure in her life." Mom said. "Colony dismissed." Riverdusk announced as everyone dispersed. "Tomorrow is your ranger ceremony." Dad said. "Yeah, I'm thrilled." I said. "I'm proud of you Tiger and I now you saw blood at a very young age, it's seriously okay to feel upset over a loved ones." Mom said.
