Word was going around through camp that a patrol has spotted Ashtail and his sister Sabortooth along with a cat with fur black as the night sky with red eyes in our territory. They tried to fight them off but they overpowered them and they killed them. "I hope they don't kill me and Pikeriver." I said. I looked at Flamestar and noticed her. Flamestar jumped up onto her rock and announced. "Protect the kits at all costs, even if it means your lifes. There's no room for rest all we need to do is protect the kits from any danger." Flamestar announced. Every cat from Riverclan ran in different areas, I ran over to the nursery with Sweet'aster, Pineclaw, and Pikeriver. "Remember what Flamestar said, protect the kits at all costs." I said as I turned to look at the kits. "Are we going to be okay, Tigerstream?" Featherkit asked scared. "Yes, Featherkit you and all of the other kits are going to be okay." Pikeriver said. "Pikeriver can you please get the kits some prey from the fresh kill pile?" I asked. Pikeriver nodded her head and ran over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a decently big enough fish for the kits to share. "Here you go, eat up." Pikeriver said. "T-thanks P-Pikeriver." Sunkit said as the kits ate the fish. The three of us guarded the kits from the dark forest cats walked right into camp. "What are you doing here Ashtail, you know you aren't welcome here in Riverclan?" I asked. Ashtail ran towards the kits, I stepped between the kits and Ashtail. Spotteddream and Darkspot ran towards Darkstar tackling him to the ground. "What are you doing, I'm your father!" Darkstar hissed. "Well not anymore since you killed our mom." Spotteddream hissed at her father. "Yeah, we don't trust you anymore." Darkspot said as she raised her paw and clawed at her father's face, killing him. My eyes widened when I saw Darkspot killing her father, then I looked back at Ashtail Pikeriver and I raised our paws and attacked Ashtail and Sabortooth. "We had to do it, they were a threat to the kits safety." I said as the dark forest cats retreated back into the dark forest.
