Today is Pike's new claw ceremony. I remember when I first got my new claw name. "Pike, wake up." I said as my daughter woke up. "Today is your new claw ceremony." I said as Flametrail walked over to us. Pike stood to her paws and walked over to Flametrail. Our old second Bircheyes died to a badger, so Riverdusk made Flametrail second. I stood to my paws and walked out of the nursery and over to Riverdusk den. "Hey Riverdusk." I said. "Yes Tigerstream." Riverdusk said. "Riverdusk, my kitten Pike is ready to become a new claw." I said. "Let me ask you something." Riverdusk said. "Yes, what is it?" I asked Riverdusk. "Do you want to be Pike's mentor?" Riverstar asked. "Yeah, I will because Pike wants to meet her dad and sister. I told her that she will meet them when she is a new claw." I said. "Alright it's settled, you will be Pike's mentor." Riverdusk said as we walked to the wet rock for Pike's new claw ceremony. I looked to Flametrail and she smiled down at me and Pike. "Let all cats old enough to fish in our river gather beneath the wet rock for a meeting." Riverdusk announced. Every cat of River colony gathered around the wet rock. "Today we must celebrate Pike on becoming a new claw. Pike can you please step forward to receive your mentor." Riverdusk announced as Pike looked at me and smiled. She stepped before her captain. "Pike you have reached the age of six months and ready to become a new claw of River colony. Her mentor will be Tigerstream." Riverdusk announced as everyone cheered for Pike. "Pike, Pike, Pike." The colony cheered including me. "And with that colony dismissed." Riverdusk announced as Pike turned to me and asked. "Can I meet my father and sister now?" Pike asked. "Yeah, sure. I'm sure that Goosefeather and Finch are going to be there." I said. "Riverdusk, I'm taking Pikepaw to Sunningrocks." I said to Riverdusk and she smiled as we walked out of the camp and towards Sunningrocks.
