Amaia never thought she'd be pregnant at 27 years old, but the reason she was pregnant was even more of a shock. So, with the first trimester coming to an end, she was certain things were about to change even more. In the mix of the change, Amaia was surprised when Buck asked her on another date after texting for two days. As a request, Amaia asked if she could choose the venue, so when he picked her up in his black jeep she swooned even more than she already was.
"Batting cages?" Buck asks as they pull into the parking lot
With a smile Amaia turns to look at him, "There's an In-n-out two blocks away, so after this, we are ticking off a must-do while living in California"
"Are all our dates going to consist of doing things I haven't done in California?" Buck jokes knowing in their text history there was a list of things she'd asked him if he's done since living moving to California
"When we're done with that list we can always go to Pennsylvania and do things I've never done," Amaia shrugs feeling confident in her answer when she doesn't hear any form of opposition to his question

There was only a mild argument between Buck and Amaia regarding what were the best burgers and fries combo. Then that argument turned into if fries should or shouldn't be dipped into milkshakes and if not, then what was the best form of condiment to go along with them.
The second date turned to third and then fourth which by that end the two were officially dating exclusively, but they weren't or hadn't told many people. By people that meant Maddie and so far, it's been working keeping that part of Amaia's life from her neighbor. It was as if the two were trying to keep their relationship a secret, but it just came that way
"Buck?" Maddie asks at the sight of her brother walking up the apartment building pathway while she was ready to walk out of the gate, "Did Chimney kick you out again?"
Maddie was skeptical because of how nice her brother looked after what she believed was working a shift. Buck scratches the back of his head before answering, "No, no he hasn't kicked me out. I'm- I'm actually here for Amaia"
"Amaia?"
"Yeah," Buck nods deciding to just tell his sister the truth he'd been keeping to himself out of fear that how great things had been going between him and Amaia something bad was bound to pop up, "we have a date"
"Date? You're dating my neighbor?" Maddie asks in shock not knowing how she missed the signs that her brother was back to dating and if this thing with her neighbor was casual or serious
"We uh actually are dating," Buck announces putting his hands back in his bomber jacket pockets
"So, you're dating my neighbor?" Maddie emphasizes needing clarification because she knew her brother was reinventing himself just wish he wasn't just jumping into a relationship to prove that his new self was working
