It being Christmas Amaia always liked going all out for presents but when she started working for a women's shelter things changed. She still got her loved ones heartfelt gifts but rather than going all out she saved that money to buy presents a month before December to give to Toy Drives or to her shelter for any of the moms who have kids with them. So, when Buck sends her a photo of him in a Santa hat while at work she learns that LAFD are having a Toy Drive, she just had to take some toys to the firehouse.
On her day off Amaia nervously texts Buck if he can meet her outside to help her with the presents. She was nervous because it would be the first time she'd meet his coworkers while showing through her pregnancy and this time her clothes weren't hiding it.
"Amaia!" Buck shouts running over to her with a little hop skip she'd noticed he'd do sometimes, it was too cute
Once he was closer to her as she stood next to her car and paid parking meter she greets him while taking in the glory that is Buck wearing his firefighter uniform, "Hi"
They kiss hello before Amaia walks over to her car trunk filled with toys taking Buck by surprise, "Woah! This-this is too much"
"Well just these two boxes are for the Toy Drive, the rest are for my work," Amaia says pointing at two of the boxes she had saved from big amazon purchases and was able to hide from her nosey cat
"Let me get someone else to help, you shouldn't be carrying anything heavy"
"Don't worry I thought this through. This box-" Amaia says pointing at one overflowing with car toys and board games "is the heavy one, and the other one is light enough for me to carry"
Trusting her Buck carries the heavy box while Amaia settles another box on the ground so she can close the trunk. Walking side to side on the somewhat empty street Buck glances over to her and asks, "Are you nervous?"
"Yes! This is the first time I'm meeting your coworkers. I-I know I've met Eddie and Chimney, but I wasn't this pregnant then nor were we dating," Amaia nervously laughs rethinking the pink bodycon striped knee-length dress she wore
"You want to mess with them?" Buck asks being able to immediately see her relax
With a slight smirk, she looks over at the firefighter, "What do you have in mind?"
The couple walk into the firehouse plan in mind which helped Amaia think about something other than if they'd like her or not. Chimney's the first to see her, standing behind a table receiving gifts from a family who move on to the table filled with cookies and what looked like kid-friendly eggnog
"Amaia! So nice to see you!" Chimney excitedly says his smile contangoes
"Hi Chim. Can I set this down here?" Amaia asks as Buck walks around the table still caring the box of gifts
"Is all of this from you?" Chimney asks in shock taking the box from the other side and placing it to the ground behind the table near the other toys they'd been collecting
