I got woken up by my alarm clock. I literally hate that thing. It was a very bright Sunday morning. I didn't really wanna get up due to the fact that I had my first day of school tomorrow. Although it was my senior year in high school and I had gone to the same school for about four years, I was still as nervous. This year should be fun though! At least I hope. I mean, it was my senior year, and I had my best friends there with me! Jayden, Noah, and Johnny had been there for me since day one and honestly I'm so glad I became friends with them. And no, we're not popular at all, in fact, I don't think anyone even notices us haha. I guess that's what I love about them, we're always together and we don't really care about being popular or anything, as long as we had each other we were okay.

"MADISON, GET UP, BREAKFAST IS READY" my mom yelled from the kitchen down stairs.

"ALRIGHT, I'LL BE DOWN SOON" I screamed back.

I decided to check my phone to see if I had any notifications. In fact, I had tons of messages from Jayden.

Well I was thinking we could grab some Starbucks and then go on a walk?? I heard they're filming a movie around here so we can go check it out, maybe get some behind the scenes??😌✋

Once I finished chatting with Jayden I quickly got up, did my morning routine, and went downstairs for breakfast. It smelt delicious as I walked down the stairs.

"Good morning mum" I said as I sat down on the table.

"Well look who finally woke up!" She said with a smile on her face.

"Gotta enjoy the last day of summer, then I'm off to prison" I sarcastically said.

"Oh come on, school can't be that bad!"

I just raised my eyebrows at her as I placed two pancakes on my plate. Once I sat back down, I heard the front door open.

"DAD??" I loudly said as I was shocked he was home. He was on a work trip for the last half of summer and wasn't supposed to be back until two months from here.

"HEY KIDDO!!" he said as I ran up to him and hugged him super tight!

"Your home early? What's the occasion?" I asked.

"Nothing! I wanted to surprise you before your first day of school tomorrow!" he said in a very happy tone.

"Well that's great! Come eat pancakes with us, mums in the kitchen if you wanna see her" I politely said.

He walked over to the kitchen as I walked back to the table to eat my breakfast. About five minutes later I already started to hear them argue. Arguing is normal for them and I'm not sure how or what even about but they did it quite often and I hated it.

I got extremely angry since dad had just come home and they were already arguing so I barged in the kitchen and said "Wow, already arguing. Well I'm going over Jayden's. I'll see you guys later."

I went upstairs and texted Jayden.

MADISON:
heyyyy, do you mind if we meet up at 11:00 instead?? My dad just came home and my parents are already arguing, I need to get out of here

Despite it being already 10:30, I quickly got dressed and drove to the Starbucks we we're going to meet at. I had just gotten my license so I was a little scared of driving on my own for the first time but I was too mad to even talk to my parents right now.
