24 | Feelings

"I'm going to school now!" I yelled to my mom as I was walking out the door.

I'm not sure if she heard me but I left anyways. When I looked behind me, I saw Jack. Most likely going to school but he normally comes in late.

"You're going to school this early??"

"I guess so!" Jack replied,

"What do you mean, 'I guess so'?"

"I have to bring Jenna to school"

"Well that doesn't sound fun"

"Trust me, it's not!"

"Are you guys okay? Like, relationship wise?"

"Mads, come on!" I could hear Noah yell from the car.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!"

"yeah, things are just complicated. She's just so- never mind. We're just having a hard time." Jack said.

"you sure?"

"yeah, I'm fine"

I knew for sure that Jack wasn't telling the truth. Something seemed weird about his relationship with Jenna and I'm not trying to be noisy or hurt their relationship but he's my brother and I mean, of course I'm going to look out for him.

"I'll see you at school then"

"yup!" He said.

When I got in the car, everyone had been waiting for me. Louis was already in the car too, usually he's the last one to come.

"What took so long Mads?" Jayden asked.

"My brother. He's going to pick up his girlfriend and bring her to school."

"What's wrong with that?" Noah asked.

"He doesn't seem happy with her. I'm not trying to interfere with their relationship but he was upset that he had to go pick her up. He's always upset when he talks about her."

"How long has he been with her??" Johnny asked.

"He said since summer camp. Jack said that he was happy with her and he promised that he wouldn't keep going for different girls all the time. But I don't know. When I came home last time she was all over him and he just looked really uncomfortable."

"I'm sure he just needs to sort things out with her. Maybe you should give them some time, or even talk to Jack." Louis added.

"Maybe"

It felt weird just talking to Louis like nothing happened. As much as I tried to stop my feelings for him, I couldn't and I think it's pretty obvious now that we both have feelings for each other. I mean, we kissed, and I'm not sure what I was expecting, but definitely not anything normal. Louis was the first boy I've ever kissed and although it may not mean a lot to him, it's means the world to me. We're going on our first date on Saturday but don't couples do that?? The kiss doesn't indicate that we're dating right? I've known Louis for almost two months now, but when would be a good time to become official?? It's been fun ever since I've met him. If we're hanging out with our whole friend group, or even just us, I always have fun with him.

"Why's it so quiet today?" Johnny asked to break the silence.

"I don't know, I've been having stomach pains since this morning. Just not feeling too good today." I responded.

Jayden turned to me and whispered in my ear, "Did you bring any pads? What if your on your period?"

"no, I didn't. It's supposed to come next week I thought."
