The very next day,

I went to sleep at 6am and woke at 7am as planned. With dad still asleep downstairs, I quickly left for school.

Dad still thinks I'm working at the cafe so it's safe. For now.

Classes went on as per normal. It was super noisy but thing is, nobody was talking to me. Even Hyunah.

Lunch break came round and I realised nobody dared to even look my way.

I had a tray of food, and walked around looking for Beomgyu. But as I strolled through the aisles, a foot stuck out and I tripped falling head first into the bowl of noodles I was carrying.

I turned to glare at the person who did it but surprisingly, it was a person I didn't even know.

I gave up lunch and decided to search for Beomgyu at his class.

"Hey excuse me,"I called out to a female student sitting at her desk.

She looked at me as if I was the scariest thing she saw and quickly got up, running for the back door.

"WAIT-" I shouted and managed to block her way out.

"I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to know what happened to Beomgyu."

Her fear turned into a frown as she pushed me aside.

"You know, it's your fault he had to transfer schools. If you hadn't said anything, he would've still stayed here!"

A pang of guilt washed over me.

Beomgyu left?

Was it because of what happened yesterday? He was covered in bruises when he left school.

My fingers curled into a fist and stormed away, looking for The Leaders.

This must be the work of Seonghwa. That sly little snake. He let me off but took it all out on Beomgyu. He made everyone stop talking me like an outcast. All because I talked back into his face.

THAT COWARD.

As I approached the school garden, I spotted just the person I wanted to see.

Park. Seonghwa.

He was seated on a bench, scrolling away on his phone. Leaves from nearby trees float through the passing wind. His hair swept along with the direction of the wind, exposing his forehead to the sunlight. How can someone so handsome be such a-

"Hey you!" I shouted.

His round eyes looked up at me as he squinted from the brightness of the sun.

"What did you do to Beomgyu? Why did he have to leave? I was the one who shouted at you!"

Seonghwa raised his eyebrows as if giving me a 'are you kidding me' look.

He got up from his seat, groaning as if I was the most annoying human being and started walking away.

"Are you going to keep ignoring me like this?" Frustrated at how he's still walking away as if I don't exist, I slip off my shoe and threw it right at his head yelling, "You-you...YOU COWARD!"

It surprised me how the shoe hit him right at the back of his head.

Bullseye!

I watched as he turned around, rubbed the back of his head and picked up my shoe.

I braced myself. What's he gonna do? Throw it at me? Slap me with it?

He returned me a smirk and simply walked away with my shoe in his hand.

What...

I looked down at my now shoeless foot.

"Hey wait! Seonghwa!" I called out, hopping on one foot after him.

I managed to catch up with him as he stood by his locker.

"Could you please just listen to me? All I did was talked back, I mean-it was merely an accident you guys didn't have to go that far. Why did you beat him up over such a small matter? What's it to you?"

He crossed his arms and sighed, "If it was such a small matter, why did you butt in?"

"Uh because of what you did AFTER the small matter. I'm talking about making an accidental bump such a big fuss that you made that poor boy transfer schools!"

Seonghwa kept quiet, staring down at me as if he's trying to intimidate me to leaving him alone. But for a second, a look of shock took over his face when I simply ignored his glare and continued nagging.

"I'm not here to pick fights with you. I don't care if you're a gangster or a mafia member whatever, but don't you think that you're a bit too old to be this childish? It doesn't cost you anything to be nice you know."

With that, I stormed off back to class with only one shoe on foot.

A week passed since the incident, and nothing's changed. I was still an outcast. I couldn't even eat lunch without being tripped or "accidentally" bumped into by others that made me lose my one free meal.

Last time, I looked forward to going to school to avoid problems at home but now, all I look forward to is going home and getting ready to go out for work.

I sighed as I looked out my classroom window, waiting for the last bell to ring.

Just as it did, I was packing up my stuff when suddenly Hyunah and her group of friends approached my desk.

"How are you still here after what you did?" she asked with her arms crossed as she chewed her gum.

Her other friends who wore their school skirts really short with thick, dramatic makeup , started ransacking my bag spilling all the contents out onto the floor.

I rolled my eyes, "Does it bother you that I'm not afraid of those guys? I've got nowhere to run anyways."

One of them, by the name Jimin, yanked a keychain from my bag, tearing the zip in the process.

(picture aoa jimin ok? not 15& jimin or bts jimin <- theyre too precious to be a bully uwu)

"This is too pretty for trash like you by the way," she leaned in and patted my head like a child. "Yeona-ya, you should know that if you mess with The Leaders, you mess with us too. We're like, their girlfriends you know."

I am so close to throwing a punch to their faces. But these girls are just not worth it. Deep breaths, I looked away and noticed Seonghwa was watching whatever that was happening.

His others members were glancing over but they didn't do anything about it.

Well, not that I expected them to.

I turned back my attention to the rude ducks picking up my things and keeping in their purses what they thought was cute.

I wasn't going to do much because those things were super cheap that I bought at flea markets. But the moment I noticed Hyunah found my wallet and sneaking bills out of it, I was quick to snatch it away from her.

"THAT is mine. You can't have everything that is mine! LEAVE me alone," I picked up whatever's left of my stuff on the floor and stuffed them into my bag.

"Or else what? You gonna run away and cry?" Jimin mocked.

With my fists tightly clenched, I raised arm ready to hit the daylights out of her. But instead,

"ENOUGH!"

We turned head to the doorway of the classroom, finding the principal standing there.

"Yeona, come with me."
