Falling Action

We arrived at a huge mansion with big iron gates guarding the entire building.

The limousine went round a water fountain before coming to a halt in front of an entrance where mom stood, holding an umbrella.

A man in black opened my side of the limo door, offering me his hand to hold.

I glanced at his name tag, before thanking him.

"Thank you, Lucas."

The man smiled and led me up the stairs to mom who welcomed me with open arms.

"Thank goodness you're okay," she sighed in relief.

"Come, I'll bring you to your room. You're going to love it here more than the penthouse. You have-"

Mom's chattering was drowned out by my thoughts as we walked far into the mansion.

All I could think of was the members. I want to talk to them. I want to know the truth.

We entered a grand bedroom. It looked like something out of one of those grand galleries in a palace. The room was as big as 6 classrooms. A soft pink bed sat against the wall in the center of the room. A baby pink scorpion gaming chair sat in the other corner along with other gaming stuff. Mom knows I loved games. There was a sitting area with tv, a sofa and coffee table too.

It almost felt as if she expected my arrival and she knew I was going to stay.

Mom led me to a door in the room which opened to a big bathroom. She pressed on a screen, which filled the big jacuzzi tub with steaming warm water.

"Take a shower and rest up ok? I'll be downstairs if you need me and Lady Arin will be at your service 24/7," mom said and brought in a sweet, young woman wearing an outfit like that of a waitress at a 5-star restaurant.

I cleared my throat, "Um-you can wait outside. I need some alone time."

I spent the rest of the day just lying in the uncomfortably cold large bed. I checked my phone several times for any messages.

I even called Seonghwa a hundred times. I called the other members, a hundred times. Their phones are out of service.

All I could do, was cry.

I didn't care that Arin was watching. She was told to never leave me alone in fear I would do something stupid to myself. So I cried as she stood by my door.

When I finally felt too tired to cry anymore, I merely lay on the bed hugging a very firm bolster.

Arin must've thought I fell asleep as I hear her switch the lights off. As she did, neon glow-in-the-dark glitter tainted the ceilings, giving an impression of the galaxy.

It must've been my imagination, as I hear Seonghwa's sweet, deep voice lulling me to sleep, singing, "Looking for star, looking for love, so that no sorrow can come here. I will protect you forever. Forever you are my star."

He sang that song to me when I had trouble sleeping a week ago.

Ugh my heart yearns to find out what happened to him and the others.

Even if what my dad said is true, I just really hope they're okay.

One week later...

"Yeona honey!" Mom came bursting through my bedroom door in a sing-song voice.

I was where I've been the past week. Either on the bed or on the floor next to my bed. I felt like a prisoner to be real honest.
