Upon arriving back at the house of The Leaders, I stumbled and crashed onto the sofa.

"Whoa you okay there?" Hongjoong asks as he unloaded his gun.

I shook my head, "I think I hurt my back."

San, who was supporting Seonghwa, cocked his head, "Follow me, this way."

Mingi ran to my side, holding my arm as we walked through a hallway and into a white room.

"What the-? You guys have an infirmary here?" I asked as Mingi sat me down on a chair.

I mouthed thank you to him and he returned me such a precious proud smile before leaving the room.

San settled Seonghwa down on a bed and closed off the bed curtains.

"So uhh-if there's an infirmary, who's the nurse?" I questioned.

"Sorry could you please zip it while I do my work?" San replied hastily.

Ahh...it must be San then.

After a few groans of pain and muttering coming from behind the curtains, San opened the curtains, revealing a shirtless Seonghwa lying in bed with the blanket covering up to his torso.

He had a small bandage patch covering his lower abdomen and a pain relief patch on each shoulder.

San washed his hands by the sink and approached my seat.

"They hit your back didn't they?"

I nodded anxiously. San pursed his lips, frowning.

"You might feel uncomfortable but may I take a look?"

I glanced at Seonghwa who had his eyes closed and then at San who was waiting. I gulped.

"Yea sure."

He carefully lifted the back of my shirt, revealing the bruised skin.

"Oh shoot that looks like it hurts," San commented. He took out an ointment from one of his many drawers and started applying it to my bruised back with a cotton pad.

"Hey, do you know that you've got other scars and bruises too? Did those guys do this to you too? Did we come in too late?" he asks.

My heart sank at his words, "I uhm-I got beatened up by my dad too so...that must be it."

San peered into my face from behind my back. "That old dude who demanded money from you at the convenience store?"

I nodded, "He's not really my read dad but yea him. I've always protected my front when he starts acting up. So my back is always the one getting hurt. Since I can't really reach it, I don't exactly do anything about it."

As I told San my story, I notice Seonghwa's eyes open as he just lay there listening.

---

"All done!" San exclaimed as he washed his hands again at the sink. He let out a loud and big yawn.

"I'm going to bed, you should rest too," he waved at me before leaving the room.

I glanced at the wall clock, it's 6am.

"Yeon."

I got up and headed towards the voice.

Seonghwa turned his head in my direction and smiled, "Go up to my room and sleep there. You need to rest."

"I've got work in 3 hours," I replied, sitting in the chair beside the bed.

"I'll just stay here and accompany you til then. I'll be fine."
