You threw another notebook against the wall of Peter's room. You'd been studying for midterms all night, and the stuffiness of the room combined with your headache and frustration was not making it any easier.
"If you throw one more thing at the wall-" Peter began.
"Peter Benjamin Parker finish that sentence and I will throw you out of the window." You snapped at your best friend.
"Geez. Sorry."
You went back to studying, angrily writing down notes on the page. You heard Peter get up and walk over to you.
"Come on, let's take a break."
"And get awaayyyy!" You sang.
"Run away with us for the summer-" Peter joined in.
"Let's go upstate!" The two of you sang together before bursting into a fit of giggles.
"We can take a break and watch Hamilton."
"I can't. I have to study." You argued.
"Please," Peter said as you turned away from him.
He began plopped down on his knees so that your faces were level, his eyes going wide and his bottom lip sticking out. Yup, Peter was giving you his famous puppy-dog stare.
"I've told you, I'm immune to those puppy dog eyes." You said, lying. You knew that if you looked at him for one second you would give in.
"Fine." He huffed and sat back down on his bed.
You went back to studying, enjoying the silence. Of course, it wouldn't be that simple. You bent down to pick up the pencil you dropped and looked up to see a sticky white substance on your notebook.
"It'll wear off in two hours. Long enough to take a Hamilton break." Peter said smugly.
You sighed, put down the pencil, and followed him into the living room. You sat down next to him on the couch, your head resting on his shoulder. He turned on the musical and smiled at you.
You fell asleep somewhere near the end of the first act and got a C- on your midterm, but it was worth it.
