The pain is killing me and I blacked out a couple of times. It's around 12 PM as we arrived in Washington DC and from here, Sunstreaker seemed to know where to go. A large building came in and I was about to warn him about the gates, but he drove through it. For a moment the pain faded, "Sunstreaker... the gate is able to open and close!" I complained. "I don't want to talk to humans!" he snapped,--growling while he headed into the base and came to a stop.

He startled his fellow Autobots with his actions. Sunstreaker transformed and held me in his servo. "Sunstreaker!" A silvery mech on wheels exclaimed and rushed over to him, but Sunstrekaer stepped back and raised his servo in order to keep a little distance. "Where is Ratchet?" he asked. "Sunstreaker..."
"Optimus... I am sorry for... storming into the base but this fleshy is... shot," he said and held me up. "Sideswipe... inform Ratchet..." Optimus ordered him. "let me take her, brother... you'll get her back..." Sideswipe said as he took me so Optimus could talk to Sunstreaker for a moment. "What is your name?" Sideswipe questioned. "Skye..." was my soft reply. "I think you know who I am... what happened?"

"It's a long story..."

I was a little anxious. Ratchet is the medic around here, but I am scared. I have seen quite a lot of hospitals in the last few years and not all of them were nice. Sideswipe placed me on the floor and transformed into a silver Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2009. He held my hand while taking me to the medbay. "Sit down, Ratchet will be here in a minute!" he told me firmly. "You are a pretty one, huh?" he asked. I blushed at his comment and shrugged. "You think I am pretty?" I asked. "You are..." he stated. "Thanks.... I guess..."

"We have much to talk about!"
I flashed him a nervous smile before Ratchet stormed in and didn't give me the time to answer. He immediately grabbed a pair of blue medical gloves and some other medical things to patch me up. He didn't introduce himself as he injected me. "What did you give me?" he asked. "Pain killers... now sit still and don't talk!" he ordered me. My heartbeat increased, not because he was about to stitch me and have a closer look at the wound, but because I am scared for the other things he would do to me. Sideswipe grasped my hand, I think he noticed because he softly grasped my hand and flashed me a weak but warning smile.

Due to the procedure, I focussed on other things, like how the room looks like. It's not too big, just a normal size room with white cupboards and underneath it a large black counter, filled with medical stuff, but organized. "You are done..." Ratchet stepped back and lowered his blood-stained hands. "I will give you some painkillers... what's your name?" he asked. "Skye..."

"You'd like to call your parents?" he asked. "They died... eight years ago..."
Ratchet paused and sighed softly. "I am sorry for your loss..." he mumbled. I nodded "It's alright..." I mumbled. "who else can we call?" Ratchet asked. "No siblings?" Sideswipe asked hopefully. "No... I have a brother but he's trying to kill me after being set free from jail last week... it's a very long story..." I sighed. Sideswipe's face dropped, "Is there anyone or anything we can do?" he asked. "No... it's alright... I don't think I am staying long anyway..." I sighed as I slid off the medical bed and grabbed my shirt. "Where are you going then?"

"West coast... San Diego..."

"I actually advise you to stay at the base for a little while, Skye. The Decepticons know about you and you may be a target for them..." I bit my lip. "Come... I will give you a room so you can rest because I am sure you are a little tired from traveling..." he said and grasped my hand again. "Thank you, Ratchet..."

The medic flashed me a smile and nodded. Sideswipe took me through the large endless maze-looking halls. I am sure I will get lost. We ended up in a smaller hallway with lots of doors and he came to a stop. "This will be your room..." he said. A smile pulled up on my lips while he opened the door and walked inside. It's a small room with a double bed in the middle. Walking around the bed to the left side, you'll find a small cabinet with shelves and a bureau in it, and on the other side was a nightstand. Against the opposite wall of the bed, there was a cabinet, some shelves, and another door leading towards the bathroom.

"Your room..." he asked. "It's perfect... thanks."

He nodded and walked over to the door. "Hey... uhm, shall I bring you some food?" he asked. "Yeah, I am starving thanks..." I replied softly as I sat down on the double bed. "Do you have a preference of what you would like to eat?" he asked. "It's your pick... I am not allergic or anything... and I don't know what's on the menu..." I said. "You trust me?" he asked. I nodded and smiled warmly at him. "You won't regret it! I promise! I will cook you the best meal ever!" he chirped before he stormed off. He's so sweet, very different from his twin brother. I took a shower, washing the remaining blood off my shoulder. As I walked in, Sideswipe had already returned with a meal that made my mouth drool. The smell coming off the dish made my stomach grumble. He placed it on the small wooden table and gestured at it. "I made it myself... hope you like it..."

"It smells good... I am sure it tastes just as good as it smells..." I remarked before I sat down and Sideswipe next to me was a little nervous. I could see it the way he was fiddling with his hands. Gosh, he's so adorable and sweet. I took the first bite and nodded, perhaps a little too salty, but I just ignored it because I didn't want to hurt his feelings. "I love it, Sides... it's delicious..." I said. He smiled relieved and mustered a smile on his face. "People don't like the food I cook... I like cooking... it's just people rather than throw it in the trashcan... you are not saying it because you don't want to hurt my feelings right?"

I shook my head, "no... I am not. If I disliked the food, I would have told you. I like cooking too... perhaps we can cook something together... I know some recipes from my mom... and grandmother..." I said. He smiled and nodded, "perhaps you can teach me some stuff and perhaps people will like the food then... it's so hard to please humans sometimes..." he said sheepishly. "No, people are just harsh... they're rude, mean, and egoistical... sometimes you think you can trust them... and then they turn your back on you like a piece of trash... throwing you away like you're not worth anything..."

Sideswipe nodded slightly and gave me a weak smile. "Anyway... see ya later..." he strode over to the door. "Oh, Sideswipe?" he hummed and turned. "Is Sunstreaker okay?"
He nodded, "I was about to check-up on him... but I think he is... no worries!" he chirped before leaving.
