• Chapter 13. An unexpected reunite

Sunstreaker burst into my room. "You can't leave!" he exclaimed as he slammed the door closed. He wasn't really mad, just sad and a little disappointed. Perhaps a little worried as well. I bit my lip and shook my head. "Sunstreaker... please, I can't stay any longer..." I said. "Let me kill him... Skye, come on... you won't let him control your life right?" he asked as he grabbed my arms. "Sunstreaker... you don't understand. I am so grateful for your help and friendship... but I wanted to leave soon or later anyway..." I said. He shook his head and gave me a sad look. "I know I am not always nice... but I care for you and Optimus even assigned me to be your guardian..." he said, smiling a little, but I couldn't return.

"I don't understand your rush... do you want to get away from me so badly?" he asked. "No, Sunstreaker... of course it's not you... I just want to go because of my brother and because I have a dream. Look, I appreciate the things you did for me... but I can't stay and I don't want you to get attached to me, Sunstreaker..." I saw he was hurt. "Why not? Because I am an alien or because you think I am dangerous? Are they scared of me?" he snapped angrily. "No... I just... I... it's not your fault, but I don't want to hurt you... I don't want to make you feel sad in the end if I leave..." I said quietly. "I am worried about you, okay? I am scared people will get you or a Decepticon... besides... I have never liked a human like I do right now... I hate them, but I can't hate you and it makes my spark itch knowing you want to leave so badly..."

"I don't want to leave... I wish I could stay because you are the best thing that ever happened to me. I know we don't know each other that well... but during our journey... I started to like you. As in... I would love to stay with you and your brother because I know you will take care of me... but that's impossible, Sunstreaker..." I said quietly and turned away from him. "Why is it impossible?" he asked quietly. "I promise and if you want to go to San Diego I can come with you and take Sideswipe as well... so we can go together..." he said as he stood behind me and wrapped his arms around me.

"Please.. trust me. I will fix your problem with Chase. I am going to kill him so he won't be a threat to you anymore and you can stay here with me. I like you so much, I can't lose you... I have never had this feeling towards a female. I could have killed you the moment you woke me up from my stasis lock, but I already started to like you... I wanted you to come with me... not because I wasn't able to find my way, but because I wanted you to stay with me..."

I flashed him a smile and felt some tears welling up in my eyes. "So, can you please stay?" he asked, giving me those sad and innocent eyes, Sideswipe had as well whenever he wanted something. "Please? For me?" he asked. I sighed softly, considering it, but the fact he got attached to me is bad. He shouldn't, especially because I will hurt his feelings in the end.

"There are things I can't control, Sunstreaker. I am going to make you sad in the end anyway... I don't want that..." I said quietly as I met his icy blue eyes. "You won't... I will make you happy. I will make sure you get to see whatever you want to see... this year..." he stated firmly.

I hugged him and nuzzled in his neck, feeling the tears rolling down my cheek. He tightly wrapped his arms around me. "As long as you trust me... everything will be okay. I promise you, Skye!" he stated firmly. I sighed and took a deep breath before looking into his eyes again, laying my hand on his cheek. "So you stay?" he asked. I nodded while he brushed a lost tear off my cheek with his thumb. Relieved he sighed and kissed my cheek. "Don't worry. Skye! I will fix your problem! You won't live in fear anymore! I am your guardian after all!" he stated firmly before turning around and leaving.

I sighed, sitting down on the bed and stared at the wall for a long time. "I am sorry, Sunstreaker. I love you, but I can't stay... I will hurt you and you're too good for that..." I murmured before I got up and grabbed my backpack. Sneaking through the hall and using the back entrance. "Thanks, Sunny... you mean the world to me and so does, Sideswipe. But it's time for me to move on... goodbye..." I murmured softly to myself as I stared at the base for a moment.

I headed in the direction of the train station, looking around me to see if I spotted my brother somewhere. My worst fear came true, Chase found me. I hurried in my pace, but only slightly because. Running would be foolish because I would attract too much attention. I got closer to my designation and in the meantime, I started to feel sadder and sadder. I had to say goodbye to someone I cared about so much, who became my new family. Sunstreaker took care of me, while my own brother wouldn't even do that. The things my brother did are unforgivable, I don't want to see or talk to him ever again. Not even if he tries to apologize.
