Back in the Mortal Realm, once first light had broken out into the sky, the demons got up from their sleep and continued their journey to the Snow Village.
It would be midday, judging from the sun almost being at it's peak. Plus there was signs of Snow and plus it was getting quite cold too.
After Saya had killed the lizard creature, just when her father arrived, He saw she had defeated the creature all by herself. A first step towards killing, but he could see some, sympathy in Saya's eyes when she looked down at the creature. Ever since then Saya has been very silent. She had not spoken a word. Y/N looked down at his daughter, she had her eyes looking down at the ground.
Y/N: Saya.
Saya:....
Y/N: Saya.
Saya: Y-Yeah?
Y/N: Is there something you like to get off your chest?
Saya looked down at the ground before glancing at her chokuto, then she spoke.
Saya: It's...just....I can understand why that creature wanted to kill me.....he was hungry.
Y/N:....Yes....it imagine it was.
Saya: I don't know what it was....but...I felt like I had to kill him....it was like I had this...urge to kill something. But I don't want to kill....I wish there another way.
Y/N could understand what his daughter was saying, it reminded him of what his father had said to him, when he was Saya's age. Like him he wish there was another way rather then using violence.
Y/N: Saya....All I can say is...on this journey we will be attacked all manner of creature.
Saya: You....you've killed before?
Y/N: I did what I had to to survive.
Saya: Did you....not feel pity for them?
Y/N: No....I did not.
Saya: Oh.
Y/N: Saya...I understand you don't like killing, but the truth is....the enemy will not feel for you. He will close his heart to you. He will not feel your desperation, nor will he feel your suffering.
Saya:....I understand.
Y/N said nothing. As Erza watched from behind, she too can relate to what Y/N had said to Saya. She too did not like killing. She remembered how wrong it was to kill. However, that was at a time before things were different. Now the world she was in.....killing was the only means to survive.
Her thoughts were cut off when Akame had stopped and over looked a passage. She turned to face them.
Akame: We're almost there, it is just up the trail and we should be there.
The demons looked up to see a giant rock protruding from the ground high up. On the middle half of the mountain was signs of a settlement. And it was indeed a village full of Snow.
They began walking up a small trail that led up to the village. However on the way up Saya was beginning to feel the coldness. All she was wearing was a blue sailor uniform. Y/N had given Saya a blanket to put over her to keep her warm, but it would soon be useless. Saya was still shivering and the snow falling soon became a blizzard. The other demons were feeling cold too, but Saya was feeling the worst of it. They have been walking up the mountain trail for about ten minutes, and it only got worse for Saya. Her hands were very numb and she couldn't feel her toes. Saya soon fell down onto her knees. Erza was behind Saya and helped her up.
Erza: Come on Saya, we're almost there.
Saya: S....S....So.....cold......can't....feel....my hands.
