Demons Walking Amongst The Earth: The Legend of Ryketsu

Chapter 18: The tale of Ryketsu's first Master.

Y/N didn't know what to say. Was reality playing some kind of joke? Ryuko stood in front of him. His dead wife. Saya had said that Ryuko was gone. Thanatos had killer her. And yet here she was before him. Ryuko dropped to her knees, his red eyes meet her now violet eyes. She cupped his cheeks and got a good look at him.

Ryuko: Y/N...it's me.

Y/N had regained his bearings. And pushed Ryuko away from him as he tried to stand up. Gripping Tensa Zangetsu.

Y/N: Trying to play tricks with me Thanatos?

Ryuko: Y/N. Thanatos is dead. I killed him.

Y/N: You killed my wife!

Ryuko watched as Y/N tried to pull out Tensa Zangetsu but the blade did not budge from it's scabbard. Ryuko stood up in a gentle way. She had a look of concern and worry for what had happened to Y/N while she was in the underworld.

Ryuko: Y/N. It's me, Ryuko. I'm not Thanatos. He's dead.

Y/N gritted his teeth. Ryuko could see tears on the verge of falling from his eyes. Ryuko began slowly taking steps to Y/N, he couldn't even move. He wanted to attack her, but he couldn't. No matter how much he tried to take out Tensa Zangetsu. He just couldn't.

Ryuko walked up without any issues . She was now right in Y/N's face. Once again she put his hands on his cheeks. Her face got closer and she gave him a soft kiss on the lips. Y/N's eyes widened. This sensation....this feeling. It was her.

Ryuko broke away from the kiss, she looked at Y/N's eyes. The tears were now falling down freely, his hands slowly reaching around Ryuko's back, putting his head on her shoulder. Ryuko put her hands around her husband's neck. She could hear him sniffling. Senketsu remained quiet. They both stood still hugging each other for about a minute or so. 

Erza and Akame came around the corner with a few scratches, some of their wounds were fairly small and they had been healed, due to their passive healing. Just when they came around the corner they had remained silent, seeing Ryuko hugging Y/N. They walked up but remained silent not wanting to ruin the moment. 

Eventually, Ryuko broke away from the hug. She look at Y/N's tears and she rubbed them away.

Ryuko: Wipe those tears. I don't recall my husband being a crybaby.

Y/N said nothing but hugged Ryuko. She looked up to notice Erza and Akame. However, just when they were about to ask how she was alive. A voice was heard from behind them.

???: You there!

The demons looked behind them to see a man who was holding a sword. It was a fairly standard sword, nothing crazy. However he looked like he lacked experience with a sword given how much his hands were shaking. Erza got a look at this person, he was a middle aged man. He had brown hair and he had yellow eyes. They know he was a demon, but he didn't look like a demon who had not been in a war at all. Erza turned around fully, showing out her arms.

Demon: Who are you?! Have you come to attack us?!

Ryuko: Hey. We killed those things! So you could at least say a thank you!

Demon: Your outsiders! Just like those others!

Akame: Others?

Demon: Those three people came into this village, demanding directions. Attacking the village.

Y/N: Saya...

Ryuko: Wait Saya? Where is she?

The demons remained silent, until Erza looked up at the demon who still had his sword up and ready to attack. She kept her hands at her sides, showing her body language that they're not his enemy. This did lower the young demon's guard slighty.
