The people I pictured, Gary Oldman and Meryl Streep, will be portraying Violet's parents, just to let you know.

Chris Martin's POV

"Guy, I'd like to thank you so much for the choice of the outfit. Especially for picking out Violet's dress.", I told Guy as we were heading to the studio.

        "No problem."

I then decided to call Violet to make sure she got the dress and to back her up on the details of the date tomorrow.

"Hey, how's my beautiful girl?" I asked

        "I'm great. How are you?"

"I'm good. Did you get the dress? And tomorrow night, I'll pick you up at 7, does that sound alright to you?" I asked

"Yep, I got the dress and it's so pretty, thank you. Also, the plans tomorrow sounds good to me, but you have to meet my parents first."

"Ok, that will be fine. See you at 7" I concluded

        "Ok. See ya."

After the call, I entered The Bakery and went over to Jonny and Will. They were amusingly talking about a fan who came up to them with a bra, wanting them to sign it. They obviously rejected, which they said caused the fan to burst into tears and then run off.

"Don't you guys feel pitiful for that. I mean she was only a fan and we need to respect our Coldplayers." I said, making them feel guilty but I burst out laughing.

"Yeah, I guess you're right Chris," Jonny said with a smirk.

After the hysterical laughter faded away, the band decided to rehearse our songs that we were planning to do Friday. Yet, I found myself singing Yellow. I just couldn't get Violet off of my mind.

        Look at the stars

Look how they shine for you,
        And everything you do

        Yeah, they were all yellow

Will realized what I was up to, because he saw the dreamy look in my eyes, and he signalled the band to stop rehearsing so we could talk.

"Hey Chris, I'm sorry that I have be strict, but you need to focus. We have a gig Friday, remember that" Will said with a stern look

"I'm sorry, I'll get back back on track. Let's start from the top"

Even when we were playing, I couldn't stop thinking about her. At least Will didn't notice again.

        Meanwhile, at 6:30 ...

Violet's POV

At the dinner table, I quietly munched on my chicken pot pie. I was trying to think how to converse with my father that I met a guy. Not surprisingly, he doesn't trust the men that his daughter dates. I really hope that he entrusts Chris.

Without thinking any further, I decided that it was the right time to tell him.

"Hey Pops, can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked as I deliberately put down my utensils.

My mother stopped eating for she wanted to listen to what I wanted to say. She looked like she knew the general idea that I was about to talk about.

My father looked very confused, however, but he replied saying,

"Of course my dear," as he too put down his silverware.

"I met a guy earlier today and he asked me out on a date for tomorrow. So could I by chance, gain your consent?", I asked

"Well, that depends. Will I soon be meeting this kid? And what is his name, might I ask?"

"His name is Chris Martin. You might know him from the band that I'm so obsessed over, as the lead singer. And don't worry, he's going to meet you guys before we go out" I said, very nervously.

"Ok, well I guess you have consent for now, but I'll have a close eye on him" my father said, before continuing to eat his chicken pot pie.

At 7:00 the very next day...

Chris Martin's POV

As I walked up to Violet's house with a boquet in my hands, I started thinking how I need to make a good impression for her parents. I haven't really met her enough to know her background, but I hope we talk about that tonight.

I then knocked at the door to find it being opened by an older man next to Violet. Violet was of course wearing the red dress that Guy picked out and she looks amazing in it.

I looked at Violet and said with a smile, "I got these for you," as I handed her the flowers.

"Aww, thank you. Come on in", she said.

I walked in and started looking around. Man, she had a pretty big house. Yet, it was still alot smaller compared to mine in England.

She then lead the way to the living room and motioned to me to take a seat. As I sat down, the one who looked like the father sat down next to me and outstretched his hand. I then took it and we shook hands.

He started asking me like simple questions like facts about my parents, if I had any criminal records, and if I have an educated college degree. My answers seemed to give him a look of approval on his face. And the next thing I know, I'm out the door with Violet as I waved goodbye to her parents.

Violet's POV

Chris seemed to have approved my parents and I'm glad. Chris then opened the door to the passenger seat, so I smiled at him as I entered the car.

On the way to whatever restraunt Chris was driving to, the radio station we were listening to began playing Stop and Stare by OneRepublic.

        Stop and stare

I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah, I know that everyone gets scared

        But I've become what I can't be

Oh, do you see what I see?

As usual, I sang along, and Chris surprisingly chimed in. So we sang harmonically until the song ended. Then, we arrived at Olive Garden.
