Violet's POV
As before, the black limo was there and I looked to the side of it closest to me, and it made me happy. Chris stood there in a black tux with a green tie. It looked like God put a smile upon his face for his smile felt like he could light up the whole world despite the chaos it is in. Kira and I reached the vehicle and Chris opened the door for us. All the band members were there; Guy, Will, and Jonny. Ryan was there too and I was confused for I thought he'd be at his place, but I guess not. Keira sat adjacent to me, Chris to the right of me, and Ryan was sitting opposite of me. Chris then closed the door and the limo driver started driving.
"So, Ryan, are you going to be releasing any new music soon?" Chris asked as he looked in Ryan's direction.
"Yep. The band and I just released 'Wherever I Go' last night and we're getting a positive response from all of our fans"
"We should listen to it then." Chris exclaimed without a pause. He then plugged his Samsung S7 in the limo's aux cord and began playing 'Wherever I Go'.
Both Ryan and Chris were somewhat dancing and Ryan was bursting with his amazing vocal chords. Chris harmonized with him and what a sight it was. I was recording all of this on my phone. Halfway through the song, everyone in the limo, including the driver began dancing in the car or clapping.
The song ended and my veins were still bursting with energy. I will remember this moment forever.
A few minutes later, we arrived at Ryan's house and what a sight it was. Modern-like walls made with dark spruce wood was shown in the exterior. A couple of willow trees covered the yard. Chris then opened the door of the limo and exited. He then grabbed my hand to help me get out. Everyone in the limo left. When we got the backyard, I could see around 50-60 people there.
Ryan motioned for us to meet the band. "This is Drew. He plays different instruments in the band including the guitar, glockenspiel, etc."
Drew waved at us and said "Nice to meet you guys," while shaking our hands.
"This is Zach. He mainly plays the guitar."
I then realized that he had a big plate of cookies in his hand
"Here, have some. Cookies make you thinner." Zach exclaimed. I laughed and then grabbed a couple.
"And then here is Eddie, our drummist."
"Hey guys. Y'all look nice."Eddie said.
"Lastly, but not least, this is Brent. He plays the cello and the bass guitar."
Brent looked at all of us a little shyly and stopped his gaze on Kira.
"It's lovely--to meet y'all"Brent said with a little stammer.
I couldn't help but notice that Brent looked like he likes Kira. I smiled. I wonder how this will turn out, I thought to myself. We all separated. Chris was with me. Jonny and Will were playing American football, which I had no idea where they got the football from. Guy was talking with random people like his flirtatious self. Brent was with Kira, but Ryan was all alone. I felt bad for Ryan. Sometimes I think he just needs someone.
I looked around at all the people here, and realized that half of them were celebrities. I saw Beyonce, which I didn't really care too much for. I also saw Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Ellie Goulding, Adam Levine, Sam Claflin, and etc. Wait...Finnick is here? I need to talk to him immediately. I walked over to him casually. He looked at me like I literally just came out of nowhere. I didn't know what to say so I just stood there awkwardly. Chris was off talking with Beyonce and stuff. Finally, the awkwardness shattered for Sam grabbed something in his pocket and took his hand out with a cube-like structure in it and asked, "Do you want a sugar cube?"
"Of course! Why would I not," I proclamied with a smirk. I then reached for it but he pulled his hand away.
"Nuh-uh uh. First, you have to tell me your name. I need to know who's the name of the girl who is dating my friend I've had for a long time since I first began school at my alma mater" He said.
"I'm Violet. And I didn't know you guys went to college together."
"Yeah, he was there with me through the thick and thin. He got me through the toughest of times like when my parents died"He said after giving me the sugar cube.
"I'm sorry to hear that Sam."
"Yeah. It's ok. I'm getting through life. They're still with me, in here"He said while pointing to his heart.
I wanted to start crying but I heard Chris yell, "Sam!!"
"Chris!!"
"I haven't seen you in like 10 years. How's it been old pal?"Chris asked after they embraced in a bro hug.
"Not too bad. What about you?" Sam said.
"It's never been better"Chris answered while looking at me. I smiled.
Over the next few hours, I cracked a few laughs, had some red velvet cake, and then surprisingly, threw the football with Sam. Sam and I acquainted and talked about our lives. He hasn't really had anyone since he last saw Chris. I kept telling him that he was going to find a woman eventually and things will turn around and he kept shaking his head. Everthing looked like it felt down for him. When he started chatting with Will, I made my way over to Chris to ask him something quietly.
"I think you should invite Sam to stay with you. He's been depressed ever since you left and he needs some support. When I talked with him, it sounded like you are the only one in his life that can help him see the good. Come on. You guys are pals. Give some inspiration in his life. While that goes on, I'll look around for someone. Someone that he can keep forever and never let go of. A woman that can connect with him and be there in the darkest of his times. What do you say, Chris"I said while squeezing his hand.
"Okay. I'll talk with him."
Sure enough, Sam agreed to stay at Chris's place, so that means I need to look around. Look around for someone who has the same personality, same interests, etc. I can't help feeling happy, because I like making a good difference in someone else's life.
