St. Patrick's Day

Sophie skipped into the the Shores of Solace. She wore a green dress with big black buttons going down the dress with a black belt around her waist. She wore rainbow shoes with rainbow laces and she wore a rainbow headband. "Oh Keefe! Where are you?" Sophie called out.

A gentleman with a green suit, green hat, and a matching belt greeted Sophie, "Yes m'lady." He took Sophie's hand and kissed it.

She giggled and hooked her arms with Keefe, "Shall we, my good sir?"

He looked at her with a grin, "We shall."

Sophie raised her pathfinder and shouted "IRELAND!"

                                                                   *                           *                         *

"Ooh Keefe, let's go to the parade!" Sophie squealed.

Keefe kissed her cheek, "Anything for you, my love."

They skipped off to the parade where people dressed in all green paraded around the field, holding a strange looking flag. It had three stripes, one orange, one white, and one green.

Sophie loosened her grip on Keefe's hand and pointed to a stall, "Keefe, I wanna go there!"

Keefe grinned and led her towards the stall. A strangely dressed man greeted them. "How may I help you?"

Keefe took coins out if his pocket, "I want two lollipops." He handed him the coins and in return took the lollipop. Keefe handed one to Sophie as she giggled and took a big lick of the multi colored candy.

Sophie eyed the field and tugged on Keefe's shirt, "Let's dance!" They went to a stall where a man gave them black shoes with a heel, even for Keefe.

Sophie took Keefe's hand as she started stomping on the ground. The shoes made a weird clicking noise and it intensified as Keefe joined in. They stomped their feet in intricate ways as it made even more sounds. Irish dancing. That's what it was called.

Sophie leaned into Keefe's arms and panted, out of breath. "Can we go somewhere else now?"

Keefe tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, "Of course."

                                 *                                                          *                                                              *

"What are you?" Keefe asked the tiny man with the hat and the belt buckle.

"A leprechaun," he replied. "How do you do?"

"Oh we're jolly good!" Sophie replied giggling. "Let's go Keefe!"

"Toodles," Keefe called back as he skipped with Sophie along the path.

Suddenly Sophie stopped. She slowly looked up and her eyes widened, either in fascination or in fear.

Keefe tilted her chin towards him, "What's wrong my love?"

"It's--it's a rainbow," she breathed. Sophie snapped out of her daze and giggled. "We have to find the bucket of gold at the end of the rainbow! Come on!"

And with that she sprinted across the forest dragging Keefe along with her.

                                                    *                                    *                                   *

Angelic music played in the background as Sophie and Keefe slowly inched towards the pot of gold.

"It's absolutely breathtaking," Keefe remarked. Sophie nodded dreamily.

Finally they were only about an inch from the pot, when a leprechaun popped out of the pot.

The leprechaun cocked his head, "You didn't think you'd get it that easily did you?"

                                                       *                                       *                                        *

Tam jolted up, panting. He looked around the room. Thank god, he was still in Solreef. He wiped his plastered bangs off his face.

Why was he dreaming about parades?

Why was he dreaming about rainbows?

Why was he dreaming about leprechauns?

Why was he dreaming about Keefe being all formal?

But most importantly, why was he dreaming about Sokeefe?

Though Tam didn't acknowledge it, he knew why he was dreaming about that last one.

He shipped Sokeefe.

Hard.
